Fun little store. I like going in only when I have a little money to spare, cause I can never just leave empty handed! So many interesting items to choose from. Creepy, cute, funny, and even a little stylish—all options available here!
Women working there with the pinkish hair followed me and my partner around the store and seemed to be recording us on her phone?? I don’t know why she was acting that way but it made us very uncomfortable. We believe we saw her working at Curio as well. Definitely wouldn’t go here again or recommend this place to friends.
I went into Momento store on Hawthorne Boulevard yesterday on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at about 2:30 PM. I walked around the store for about 10 minutes. I picked out two bags I wanted to buy. I was planning on buying these two bags before I even entered the store my alarm on my smart phone went off, so I went up to the cashiers counter took my phone out of a bag That had hummingbirds on it that had been in my coat pocket. I have bought it at Powell‘s bookstore, but noticed that memento had the same bag for sale with the hummingbirds on it. I shut my alarm off saleswoman had been following me around store I didn’t mind she said to me , you have to leave now you’re making me nervous you’re talking to yourself and that’s always a bad sign told her calmly I wasn’t talking to myself and I was talking to God she said ‘good’.I was talking very low no higher than a whisper I was praying out loud, but no louder than a whisper. It was offensive to me. Saleswoman said it was bad sign to talk to yourself. I was praying to the Lord, not talking to myself. That’s never a bad sign. What was a bad sign is her mean judgmental attitude towards me. It was also a bad sign to me that there is huge picture of the devil up on the wall in store portrayed as a cute cartoon character, but the devil isn’t cute. Devil is symbol of evil. There’s nothing cute about evil. Picture of a devil up on the wall at Momento makes memento seem like a satanic store. I told saleswoman sorry I made you nervous. She told me I could buy the two bags I was holding I was grateful I could buy the two bags I was planning on buying, but I was interested in buying something else in the store, but I didn’t have a chance because she told me I had to leave. I like your long hair I told her, I was polite, nice to her the whole time I was in store, ,but she was very hostile towards me. I left store with hurt feelings for a long time I knew I had done nothing wrong. My hope is that your business isn’t mean again to a shopper again your advertisement says your transgender friendly, but please be friendly to everybody not just transgender people. Thank you for reading this .
This place was super cool! Bought myself a new journal and would've bought a few other things, if only I made more money. 😭 5/5 stars!
Super cute store. Kind of on the small side, but full of goodies! Employees are very friendly, everything is so clean.
