I didn’t go to the visitor center, but I really liked the Christmas lights and holiday decorations at the area. Everything looked beautiful and festive, and it was nice just walking around and enjoying the atmosphere.

During December the Mesa Temple Visitor Center has a display of nativities from around the world-Kenya. Phillipines. Italy, France, England, Japan, Burma. India, USA, etc, which are beautifully presented. They are as small as grains of rice and as big as a 6 foot wood craving. Very interesting!

Great place to interact with people working to draw closer to God. Great place to feel God's spirit.

The visitors’ center at the Mesa Arizona Temple is such an incredible place to stop and learn. When I went, I was immediately struck by how welcoming and peaceful it felt. It’s designed to help you understand the purpose of the temple and the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but it’s done in such a warm, inviting way that you feel completely at ease no matter what you already know. The displays inside are so well done. They’re interactive and thoughtful, covering everything from the history of the temple to the deeper spiritual meanings behind its design and purpose. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re curious about the faith, want to dive deeper into your understanding, or just enjoy learning about the history and culture. I spent a lot of time looking at the exhibits and found myself learning so much. The people working there were amazing. They were so kind and eager to answer any questions I had, no matter how small. It was clear they genuinely cared about making my visit meaningful and enjoyable. Their kindness really added to the experience and made me feel comfortable exploring and asking questions. The visitors’ center also has areas to sit and reflect, which I really appreciated. There’s something so calming about the atmosphere—it’s hard to describe, but it’s one of those places where you just feel peaceful and inspired. Even if you’re not familiar with temples or the Church, the visitors’ center is absolutely worth a stop. It’s a place where you can learn, ask questions, and feel a deeper sense of peace. Whether you’re curious about the temple or just want to take in the serenity of the area, the Mesa Temple visitors’ center is a truly special place. I’m so glad I got the chance to experience it.

We have two temples closer to us but nothing compares to the “extras” available around the Mesa Temple. The Visitors’ Center, Distribution and Deseret Book, Pioneer Park, Backyard Taco… made for a perfect day-trip to see the Christmas lights and attend the temple! I wish all temples had a visitors’ center like this. Family-oriented and inviting, instructional and interactive. This was a perfect reprieve for young kids during a long day while parents took turns attending the temple. There are quiet rooms to sit and read, hands-on activities, a family history center, missionaries to answer questions you may have, and just an overall peaceful environment. The Christmas nativity display was fascinating and inspiring (all nativities were donated!) and we’d love to make this excursion an annual tradition. Worth the 5.5-hr roundtrip drive!
