I wanted to take a moment to highlight Braeden A. I often see him in the 3D printer portion of the building. He's been a wealth of knowledge when purchasing filament and had some great insights on my last visit in regards to upgrading my printer. He's truly a great member of the team there and I hope he's recognized for his efforts!
Wow. First time there. It was an awesome place. Looked around and a sales guy asked if I wanted help. Was upfront about they're being a commission sales force. Had my eye on two desktops that were the same price. He explained the difference and I purchased my computer. He also explained the warranties, which weren't cheap, and I have never gotten a warranty on a computer before but he made some good points. So, got the the year. Guess we'll see if I needed it or not.
Great store. I found someone who was willing to assist me find what I was looking for and she was wonderful. She was quite patient with me as I described what I needed. I even got them to price match one of my items also sold on Amazon that was a few dollars cheaper. Got what I needed with some great help. The hardest part was driving around all of the Christmas traffic outside!
First of all no one wanted to really come up to me to help me out. That's ok I can deal with that even tho I see literally 7 people standing around. Took me of walking around the same area for 10 minutes and to talk up and ask someone to get me the PC I was buying. First time into microcenter, first buy from microcenter first pc build period. Then the boss guy basically didn't really care at all for the introduction when someone buys a PC. I get all the way home, open the box no quick start up guide, no warranty details, no power cord to even power the PC up, no keyboard or optical mouse which was supposed to come with the PC nothing in the box but just the PC. Just to make sure I looked up what was supposed to come in the box and I got nothing but just the PC. Very disappointed first experience with microcenter all around. Hopefully they can make up for this tomorrow since they were closed when I got home. So they give me wires I need. I take the PC out of the box look it over GPU is bent like it's missing part of cover. Return it. Get a new one the wires are so pulled out looks like a rookie put it together. Take it back they tell my wife thats how it's supposed to be. Not 100%. I had to go up there 4 additional times to try and have them at least fix there cable management. So anyways they refused to fix anything so now I'm just going to have to return it and go somewhere else cuz I'll never do business with micro center again. They aren't the only ones who sell and put PCs together. And my first one trying to get from micro center was a nightmare. Heard so many good things about micro center and it seems like now they're all just a lie. I hope the next person that decides to go to micro center for their first build don't get just shrugged off like they didn't care at all. Even the manager didn't care shame on there poor management.
I truly enjoy shopping at this store. Whether it’s the prices or the vast selection of electronics, they consistently offer great deals on almost everything. The prices are reasonable, and the majority of the staff members are extremely helpful—some even go above and beyond. One employee, in particular, always assists me and stands out for his knowledge of network connections. He’s honest about whether I’m overspending, which I really appreciate. While I understand that employees likely earn commissions, the effort and expertise that some of them put in make it worthwhile. Their knowledge makes a significant difference in the shopping experience. I highly recommend this place. I’m willing to travel 30 to 45 minutes just to shop here instead of going to Best Buy because this store offers more options that suit my needs. I do wish they would use bags more often, but it seems like they have started offering them. Also, the clearance section is fantastic, with a great variety of options! Highlights: Great prices and wide selection of electronics Helpful and knowledgeable staff (especially with networking advice) Honest recommendations, not just pushing sales Better options compared to big-box stores like Best Buy Fantastic clearance section with a lot of deals Bags could be more available, but they may be improving this when you finish buying. Overall, this store is worth the trip, and I’ll continue shopping here!
