I keep trying to trust them but they keep letting me down. It started a few years back when I bought a custom computer from them. The computer had constant crashes and despite having a full warranty they were never able to do anything because they couldn’t replicate the issue. After a year of multiple visits, I finally found the issue to be faulty drivers that they had installed. Most recently I got a raspberry pi 3 b+ and asked the employee who was unlocking the case if the charger they were selling above it was compatible. She said yes, so I spent the $15 only to find out it did not match the port on my board. It’s disappointing because I really want to have a brick and mortar electronics store, but unless you know exactly what you are doing and what you are getting, don’t go.
My son got a 3d printer fir Xmas, and I searched where to buy filament in store. And this popped up and I was closed by. I went and the sales person ( forgot his name) was great and helped me out to much. Yes I will be going back.
Back in November, I went to Micro Center to purchase PC components for my setup. I bought a motherboard and CPU bundle and was very satisfied with that purchase. The only remaining part I needed was RAM, so I purchased DDR5 memory and took everything home to complete the build. Unfortunately, after assembling the system, I discovered that the RAM I had purchased was defective. The following day, I brought my PC back to Micro Center, where their technicians confirmed that the RAM (despite being brand new) was not functioning. While I understand that defective parts can occasionally happen, I was told when I picked up the system that everything had been properly configured and activated in the BIOS. Yesterday, I checked the system myself and noticed that the RAM installed is CL36 DDR5, not the CL30 DDR5 that I originally paid for. While the performance difference may be minor, this is not the product I purchased, and it should not have been substituted without my knowledge or approval. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with Micro Center’s quality control and customer service. The way this situation was handled has left a very poor impression, and I would not recommend this store to others. In my experience, ordering parts online and waiting for delivery would have been far less stressful than dealing with this entire ordeal.
I went to this location to buy some Magic the Gathering cards, something I know little to nothing about, but something I've delved into recently because they've been doing collabs with some franchises I like (Avatar, Spider-Man and Final Fantasy). I was completely lost in store but an employee, Marco, explained the various products to me and told me about the sets. I walked out spending a LOT more than I intended to but their prices seemed great and they selection was well organized. Wish they were closer to me, I'd visit more often but even though they're not, I can see myself making the drive to stop by MicroCenter more often in the future. An additional shoutout to Marco for getting me a basket since my hands were full!
Good service but they forgot to put the GPU in my cart after scanning it at the register. When I got home I realized it was not in the "haul". Now I have to drive 1.5 hour back to get this issue sorted out. Update They did fix the issue and gave the GPU that was purchased the day prior. Just a horrible timing since the next day was a literally 11 inches of snow.
