It took me a while to write this review but finally it here ! My boyfriend and I were in Washington DC for the weekend and we researched this restaurant prior to our arrival . The staff were so gracious, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was super tasty, flavorful and well portioned. The vibe is giving grown and sexy even though we ate breakfast there the overall vibe is very sexy, luxe and professional. The art is beautiful and the spirits are amazing. My eyes are often bigger than my stomach so I find myself ordering way more food than I’ll actually eat in one sitting . I totally recommend you stop by and check them out . They have a bunch of locations

Milk & honey is great restaurant that offers a great dinning experience with great tasting food on offer served to you by a great staff. I had there award winning shrimp and grits paired with a black berry and mint cocktail and the butter milk biscuits served with their Cinnamon, butter and peach jam on the side as a appetizer. The biscuits was light tinder and buttery just like Grandma used to make and paired with that peach jam is a great way to start your meal off. And for my main course the award winning shrimp and grits now to be totally honest I have had better shrimp and grits before but that shouldn't take away from the amazing work of the chief here and their shrimp and grits . If you have never had shrimp and grits and wanted try it for the first time this would be a great introduction to dish as it tasted good and was some the best I have had over the years but was just missing that little something extra to say it was great. All said I will definitely be returning to Milk & honey again in the near future that I'm sure of.

Atmosphere, Food, and Service were impeccable. Kevin was an excellent assistant and made wonderful suggestions. The tea was life changing. The food was superb. Tasty and perfectly seasoned. Just the right mixture of savory and flavorful. The chicken and biscuits with the Cajun cream sauce was amazing. Nice flavor and texture. The chicken and waffles with Biscoff was devine. Loved it ALL!!

Our server KJ was amazing! Knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. Food was spotty in terms of preparation...wings were tasty, catfish was decent, however the salmon blt was not prepared as expected. I ordered it medium and it came out well done even after I sent it back for a second try. It's a shame because the flavor was decent but it was too tough/dry to consume. The did comp that charge after sending it back a 2nd time. Also, the old fashioned was like a slushy...way too much ice. it should have been cleanly prepared with a large block of ice with an orange twist.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an absolutely amazing experience at Milk & Honey at The Wharf in DC (Southwest location)! From the moment I walked in, the service and hospitality were top-notch. Our server, Mr. Kevin Speight, was truly exceptional — incredibly attentive, personable, and knowledgeable. He offered great recommendations, checked on us often without being intrusive, and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. A huge shout-out to General Manager Nakia Jones, who clearly runs a phenomenal team. Everyone was warm and welcoming, especially Brianna at the front — she greeted me with a big smile and helped me get seated right away even though the place was packed. I thought I’d have to wait, but thanks to her efficiency and professionalism, I was seated in no time (my friend already had a reservation, which made the process even smoother). The food was spectacular — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is lively yet inviting, and the location is perfect for a fun brunch, lunch, or dinner outing. ✨ I highly recommend this Milk & Honey location to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a welcoming vibe. It’s a must-visit in DC! I didn’t get a pic of all our food because it was just too delicious! 😋
