I was visiting Dallas and ate here twice during that time. Loved the pizza, crust was thin and crispy, flavorful and not too heavy. Sergio is the kindest, friendliest and most efficient server. Loved my experience here and highly recommend.
We wandered in on a Sunday during lunch and a wonderful experience! Jackie our server was so kind and attentive. The Cesar salad was so fresh and crisp. We tried the terry blacks bbq pizza that was the perfect blend of flavors. We of course tried the “star”of the show the Star Luca. Perfectly thin crust with creamy ricotta and yummy salami with just a tiny kick of spice. Finding great food that is kid friendly is important to me with a 3 year old and 9 month old so we also tried a classic cheese pizza that got 2 greasy thumbs up from our 3 year old. We will definitely have to come back sooner than later!
Pizza is thin neapolitan style. Toppings were great. We got the vegan cheese (believe me, I wish I could have the real deal) and it did not disappoint or feel like a concession. Our daughter's calzone was great as well. The food was on point, but the staff was even better. The way they helped keep our toddler engaged and entertained went above and beyond. Kid friendly restaurant for sure. Legit can't brag enough about this place; we'll be back.
MisterO1 Extraordinary Pizza felt like a hidden gem. We were searching for lunch driving down Oak Lawn and saw a pizza place and had no idea what we’d find. Walking in to the right was a separate room designated as a pizza making school. Walking to the table there was a large Michelin Recommended sign. Now, I was excited. This must be good. We sat down and had some chilled water in a glass carafe. The atmosphere was causal but still felt upscale. Our server, Cierra, explained the history of the restaurant and some of the highlights. We also learned that the restaurant is pronounced Mister Oh 1 Extraordinary Pizza. The O-1 is there because the founder, Renato Viola, came to the US under an O-1 visa for persons of extraordinary abilities. He qualified after winning the World Championship of Acrobatic Pizza in Monte Carlo. Ok. Now to the food. We started with the Caprese (fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil and a balsamic glaze). It also came with rosemary focaccia bread (very nice and lightly salted). I’ve had Caprese in many fine dining restaurants, and this was as good as some of the best. The balsamic glaze was outstanding. For the main course, we had the Star Luca pizza. It is a star shaped pizza. Each slice had a folded crust with ricotta cheese. Biting into the folded crust tasted like a mini calzone. Then, the pizza had a thin crust with a mildly spicy tomato sauce with salami mixed in. It was light but filling. The word “extraordinary” often gets overused but this experience was above and beyond what I was expecting!! We topped it off with the Nutella and Banana Calzone. I’m not a big fan of Nutella but the combination of the banana and Nutella, along with a thin soft calzone dusted with sugar, tasted more like a banana’s foster than a calzone with some Nutella in it. I’ll savor the experience and I’ll be back soon.
This is world class pizza with world class service! The atmosphere is very clean and polished but doesn't come close to matching the unique flavor and high standard of the food. Sergio provided the best service! He told us all about Renato and did a great job with recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!
