Don’t understand why the staff has a need to incessantly question shoppers about what they are looking for - almost feels like you’re being watched over anything you do. Definitely felt uncomfortable and I will not ever return there.

My sister and I went on to explore but this place gives a really strange feeling when you enter. Maybe because we were Hispanics or something else but I asked about a music box only out of curiosity and was quickly embarrassed when the man there was explaining to the other staff that I needed something small and inexpensive. I honestly wasn't expecting someone to be little me but also I wasn't even interested in buying anything. The owners have a strong energy of prejudice in their store.

a ton of cool inventory from jewelry to handbags to homeware to art but the prices were very high for an antique store, clearly geared towards out-of-towners who don't know any better. definitely no deals to be had here but you can try your luck on something unique that you can't live without

A friend of mine walked into this establishment to look at all of the beautiful antiques on display. She was accosted by the owner, a white man, while she was on FaceTime with me. She was simply showing me the items he had for sale (she did not see the no photo policy). Instead, he vocalized “Thugs might come in, rob the place, and then he’ll have to shoot them." My friend is a Black woman. He clearly tried to insinuate that my friend and myself are "thieves" based on race. This man is a racist and a poor excuse of a human and business owner. He does not deserve a single hard earned dime. Do not shop here. Montclair is NOT the place for such abhorrent views and behaviors.

Walked into this beautiful antique shop with my friend, felt like I was in a museum or in the 17th century. Stunned and mesmerized by the amount of antique that were on display. That feeling was sadly shorten when I met the owners 😔 the old lady followed my friend and I everywhere. The old man yelled at me for taking pictures, which I was unaware of the policy and quickly apologized but was given an eye roll 😒. It’s sad that such a beautiful place is owned by such awful people. Well, never coming back ✌️it was fun while it lasted.
