Today was my first appt at Mosaic with Corey and my first myofascial release massage as well. Corey was a consummate professional, extremely kind and the overall experience was exceptional. If you are looking for a massage that will actually make you physically better vs. just feel better temporarily, then check him out!
Priya N. Was my hairdresser. She was tentative and understood my desired look. She made great suggestions and listened to my needs. My hair color and style came out beautiful. I like my new look and my stylist.
I have been going to Amelia for nearly 10 years now, at Mosaic. She has masterfully dyed my hair blonde, red and various shades of brown over the years while maintaining the integrity of my hair. She always takes the time to understand what your hair goals are and advises how best to get to your goal in a healthy beautiful way. I always feel refreshed and new when I leave the salon.
I had a 2:45pm appointment and showed up promptly on time. I checked in, sat down, and waited as one woman, after another came thru the salon door and were greeted by a stylist immediately, taken to their chair, and not told to wait. One woman even came in and exclaimed, “I booked this an hour ago!! So last minute!!” - and yet, she was walked directly to a chair and didn’t have to wait like I did. Four ladies were welcomed in and I was still sitting patiently at 3:05pm, 20 minutes later, for someone to notice me, bring me to the chair, apologize, something. The young girl behind the desk was on her phone the entire time and I hoped she’d advocate that hey, we have a customer who has been waiting close to 25 minutes now for a simple wash and blow out. It wasn’t until one of the technician ladies came over, asked the desk girl why I was still waiting - did either one of them finally decide to do something. One of the techs brought me back finally to wash my hair, she was very sweet but there was no apology from anyone regarding the wait, how uncomfortable the whole experience started off. The tech was a sweet lady, but it was truly the stylist who made the experience 1000x worse. The blonde woman who did my blow out wasn’t very kind. No hello’s, no small talk. In all my years, I’ve never had such an awkward, uncomfortable experience like this. She was rough with her mannerisms, and stone cold to me. We didn’t speak 80% of the appointment. It was awkward. I felt like my mother was doing my hair, and she was pissed off at me, had better things to do. That’s how this entire appointment felt. The stylist had my hair pinned up to blow dry and every time she’d overdue it and clamp my head. It hurt over and over. She scratched my shoulder twice with how she was trying to maneuver my hair - and at the end, she just goes “okay thanks!” and walks off. Again, we didn’t speak the entire appointment. There was no small talk, no sense of appreciation that I came in to the salon - nothing. It was as if I had inconvenienced Mosaic, and their staff, with my appointment. I felt incredibly unwelcome. I get my hair done weekly for work, and I travel to Houston, Miami, NYC, LA, and back every few weeks. Getting a blow out is relaxing, personal time. It’s something I look forward to. This entire experience was anxiety inducing and made me want to get up, leave mid service. A few times I considered it but knew it wouldn’t do anyone any good. And from the $6 tip I left her, it should resonate that hey, maybe you need to be a little nicer to guests in your chair. I truly am blown away that a stylist like this could have such a total lack of empathy for her clients. My first and last time coming here.
Terrible haircut!!! I came here to get 10 inches off my hair and Nikki took over 20 inches off my hair. This has been a nightmare!! I specifically said I only wanted 10 inches off and she asked if I wanted to donate some I said I don’t think so but Nikki stated we would only have to take 10 inches and I mentioned I still wanted my hair to hit my mid back. She cut my ponytail then washed my hair then continued cutting and cutting!! I had to stop her from cutting anymore. I have spoken to the manager and the owner has reached out to me but honestly there is not much they can do. The damage has already been done. This has been devastating for me and I hate to post a review like this but I really hope no one else goes through this here. Not only did she cut so much off but it is all different lengths all over and when I booked this appointment I was assured she had experience with thick long hair. Even though this is disappointing Mike (owner) and Chance(manager) were very empathetic and offered me a free haircut in the future
