This little shop has such a distinct charm, and it’s clear the collection is curated with genuine passion. When I asked about cat books, he mentioned they weren’t exactly his thing (haha) but then directed me to two perfect fiction titles featuring cats. I bought one on the spot and went back two days later for the other. The curator knows his books inside out and seems to know the entire inventory by memory. The selection reflects real care and individual taste. It feels personable, human, and wonderfully unique. There’s also a lovely cafe next door, with the deck right out front the book store, so for the past couple days I’ve been enjoying my new books with coffee from next door.

James is an exceptionally talented curator and has chosen all of my books for me over the last year. He has opened my eyes to authors I never would have chosen for myself and my love of reading is all the better for it. Highly recommend this book shop for those who love reading and expanding their horizons.

What a lovely little bookstore. I’m from Melbourne and trying to visit all the bookstores I can while I’m here - this one stuck out to me. The girl working here (can’t remember her name sorry!) gave me some recommendations I’ve not heard of and I’m so keen to dig into these books. Will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Perth!

An incredible little bookshop that brings a little something special to Mount St. A beautifully curated selection of book, guided by the maestro himself, James. It goes beyond books though and acts as a catalyst for great conversations between friends new and old. I highly recommend stopping by.
