Please do your due diligence and read the Reddit reviews as they are more accurate than what is on Google. I have moved many times all over the Las Vegas Valley, and this is my first time hiring Move 4 Less. I hired this company for an out-of-state move. They did a very convincing pitch of why my other quotes from companies were too high, and that they were the right choice. Their representative even showed me the breakdown of “actual” prices and how other companies are inflating their quotes. They also suggested I get the higher insurance for the out-of-state move when they came to pack up my things. Seemed accurate, since it was a far drive with my entire house being in their truck. What could go wrong? They did a great job at wrapping and packing everything away on the pickup. But that’s where it begins and ends. For out of state moves, they pack up all of your things, load them in the truck, and then store them until it’s time for the move out of state. You will have no indication of when the truck leaves, and no updates of when it will arrive until it gets a few days out. I was in constant communication with them, only to receive the answer “we have no control over our dispatch. We will only know when your truck will arrive when we hear from them.” I was appalled when I saw the truck when it got here to my new house. Boxes were smashed. Things marked fragile were turned upside down. Boxes were placed on top of those fragile-marked boxes. Several furniture pieces are now damaged from not being handled properly. I even had to call Move 4 Less during the unload to ask them to tell their movers to slow down. One person was strapping my nightstand to his back and moving it upstairs. There were three movers. The job was rushed and careless. When I reached out about my disappointment, they said I had to file a claim with their third-party. Of which I did. And it took two months to hear back. They gave me an estimate of what repairs would be, of course just below what the $1000 deductible was. I am waiting to hear back from management on what can be done. But unfortunately, I was told by their customer service representative, Jackie, “you knew that the insurance was more expensive and that there was $1000 deductible. I can’t change the contract on your insurance claim.” Overall it’s just been a lot of blame shifting. They refuse to acknowledge that this move was just done carelessly. Accidents happen, but these are issues that could have been prevented. The argument isn’t about a $1000 deductible. It’s about a $5000 move that was done recklessly. And the pit in my stomach every time I see my damaged furniture. For lack of a better word, I just feel kind of scammed. I’m just hoping the company practices more empathy and accountability moving forward. It seems like there are a few of their customers that had a similar experience to mine. It’s not a good feeling when you trust your possessions to a company that is more interested in their revenue than handling someone’s move and payment of that move with care.
We are so sad right now, we trusted them because the first movers came & did an awesome job. The ones that came today the one that was in charge broke our bed. Then he left the parts that went to the bed behind the bed as if he was trying to hide it. The names that came today was Chris, Eduardo, & DJ. Now me & my family are left to place a claim. Our bed is very expensive & now we are just stuck. This is totally unacceptable. I was made to make the payment 1hr & 45mins earlier after extending for one more just for them to make sure they were able to put our beds up. We have a big family & the last thing we wanted to worry about was our beds.
I just want to say from the very beginning, the phone call to scheduling an in-home visit by Krysten, who came to do the quote, to the follow up and the thoroughness of everything. I would 10 out of 10 recommend you guys to anyone. So today, Victor and his crew came, and they were just the sweetest guys. The fact that they were able to use a lot of the items that I had to throw away and be able to send to their families, It was just a blessing. The overall experience was just amazing. I didn’t know what to expect as this is my second time relocating. The first time I relocated from Baltimore to Las Vegas but used ABF and had to pack & load everything myself. Having Move 4 Less take control and handle everything made this process (which is new for me in terms of starting a new life solo) all the more rewarding and seamless. A true Blessing all of you are!! Thank you to everyone at Move 4 Less. See ya in Texas!
Before hiring Move4Less, I highly recommend you do otherwise. While I had 3 good experiences with them, the 4th was absolutely horrible, which is why I cannot overlook it. I interviewed several companies for our move from Reno to Las Vegas. Move4Less will reel you in by price-matching with a competitor and tell you all the things you want to hear. They bill for every 15 minutes, which they stand behind, saying they "track" their employees, and that their employees will absolutely not take advantage of that. However, I found this to be an absolute lie. Their employees most definitely DO take advantage of that, costing you a ton more money. On top of that, they take no care when loading your belongings, which I again experienced with our last service with them. And their insurance is a complete joke. You get 60 cents per pound for damaged or missing items. I even asked about additional insurance and was not given the proper information to purchase. I hired Move4Less for loading and unloading services, two loading services in Reno and two unloading services in Las Vegas. The first loading service was flawless. They arrived and immediately began working. There was a sense of urgency, they were prepared, they got things done. We weren't asked to pay or tip until the end when the job was done. We were so happy with their work, we bought them lunch and tipped them as well. It was a great experience with both the loading and unloading. I held off on writing a review because I wanted to ensure I got the same level of service for every service. Regarding the second loading service earlier this month, it was a night and day difference. When the loaders arrived, they assessed the remainder of our stuff for 15 minutes or so, which was not necessary as a majority of our stuff had been moved the first time. They also weren't prepared, they thought they were doing our first move as opposed to our final move. They also did not have the packing material that was part of our agreement. Thankfully, I had a lot of small boxes and pieces of cardboard left over, so they managed to put a ton of pieces together for the 4 TVs I had and my computer monitors. This was time consuming since it was smaller pieces, time which I paid for since they came unprepared. There was no sense of urgency at all, and it was very evident we were their only job on that day, so it seemed as though they were purposely prolonging it. Not only that, but the very first thing they asked for after taking a look around was payment for the estimate and a tip. A tip before lifting a single finger. I definitely did not appreciate that at all and was quite taken aback. Once they were done, they requested the additional payment and tip again. Unfortunately, my husband was with the loaders when they finished and felt obligated to tip, even though they didn’t even do a half-way decent job. As a result of the poor and improper loading services, I had ten pieces of furniture/appliance get damaged. And I won’t get enough money from their ridiculous insurance to replace one of those items. It is very evident to me that Move4Less does not properly train all employees they hire on how to load a moving truck, and they do not properly track their employees, which in turn makes their employees easily take advantage of the 15-minute increment charges.
Move 4 Less in Las Vegas is THE MOVING COMPANY you want to hire! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The coordination and reservation for my next day move was flawless and handles with care and meticulous detail by Ryan. Andrea in dispatch was lovely and incredibly helpful adding an additional (unplanned) stop to my move the same day. My movers, Adrian and his crew - one of whom was his father and so very kind - were fast! They cleared my entire 2BR/2BA and full kitchen storage (packed to the ceiling) unit in less than 45 minutes. Not only did they complete the move well within the window assigned, they also helped repair two furniture items I thought would need additional attention; a bed frame and sectional. Zero damage and a meticulous move with friendly and professional service from start to finish. Ask for Ryan as your sales executive if you can and he will take great care of you. He perfectly estimated the logistics, travel and move time. Though I am sure all staff at Move 4 Less will be exceptional.
