Oscar and his team were brilliant from start to finish. They took time to understand our needs and preferences (young family, wanted a cottage garden feel). They have the expertise and knowledge to suggest and advise the best way of achieving our ambition within our budget. From design, sourcing materials and planting plan, the team were thoughtful and clearly experienced in what would work best. They also worked diligently and were polite, timely and a pleasure to have. Our garden work took place before the spring and now that we're in the summer, everything is in bloom and we've been able to maximise and enjoy our garden! We’re absolutely delighted with our new garden. Oscar and his team have transformed a rather unkempt and featureless area (with its own structural challenges) into a considered, attractive and peaceful garden area, with zones that enable us to follow the sun throughout the day. The initial design phase was constructive and imaginative. It included a full planting design, plus practical solutions which made optimum use of the budget (e.g. we disliked our existing shed location and had anticipated the added cost of taking it down and relocating it out of sight elsewhere. Oscar’s solution was straightforward - leave it where it is and hide it behind new hedges). When work commenced the team were unfailingly polite, tidy, professional and efficient, despite working in often wet and cold mid-winter conditions. They reused and repositioned existing plantings to good effect. The team’s evident pride in the end result and the quality of their work was great to see. The project was delivered in budget and on time. We’re now looking forward spending far more time out in the garden than we’ve done before. We can’t recommend M R Landscapes highly enough - thank you Oscar and Team!
We have engaged MR Landscape to redesign and rebuild our small garden in London. The process started with a visit from Oscar who carefully listened to our requirements and after an additional visit put together a detailed proposal. Every day Oscar and his team worked hard, started and left on time, protected our floor and cleaned up before leaving (no side access), left the garden and their tools tidy, and finished exactly as planned. There were a couple of unexpected challenges like a manhole that had been hidden under an old decking for years and an unsafe wall at the back of the garden and Oscar found great solutions for both. We love our new garden and we are delighted to recommend MR Landscapes.
