-Beginner friendly -Welcoming staff and community -lots of excited attendees -full merchandise store I had been dragging my feet on starting Muay Thai classes. But my husband convinced me to give it a go, and I have zero regrets! The Noho gym is great because it’s big and open. There’s a ring for sparring and training. As well as a side section for private training. The community here is so fantastic and welcoming. I came from the Glendale gym and decided to make the Noho gym my home gym because it just felt like more space for me to move. There are plenty of bags for everyone to setup in between and warm up before your class starts. Lockers are great for leaving whatever valuables you need to keep off the mat. And they even have weighted ropes for end of class conditioning 😮💨 Both gyms have a variety of classes for all levels. Even classes for the kids. My experience with classes so far have been great. Class always starts with a group warm up, learning combos, conditioning in between, and ending the class with some sort of conditioning. The hour and fifteen flies by. Every coach gives a different vibe to each class, and I’ve had fun in all the classes I’ve done. There’s plenty of street parking around the building and up the street. Just be mindful at night time when you’re tired and walking alone. It is an industrial type neighborhood. Check-in is fairly easy with your key fob they give you once you join the gym. If ever you forget anything you can rent or buy from their store. I’ve been going to MTK for about a month now and can honestly say that I’m addicted. I’ve also taken a private training, and plan to take more in the future. I also got to witness their student showcase where students could train like athletes, and paired together to spar in the ring. Excited for more of those! Overall, if you’re curious about Muay Thai, and have been scoping this gym out, I highly recommend giving them a call and taking your first class for FREE! 🙌🏼
