By far the best coffee I’ve tried in the USA was in Richmond. Mudhouse makes especially good coffee ❤️ it was a pit stop i wish i spent more time and try other options. Will definitely come back.

Perfectly made mocha with incredible velvety texture and zero bitterness, without being *too* sweet. No notes! The baristas were lovely to everyone. Even the bathrooms were nice (a triumph in this city). Overall a wonderful experience!

Great friendly coffee shop! The avocado toast and muffin were delicious! I would post a great photo but there are only crumbs left. The flat white was as close to a New Zealand flat white that I have had.

Bigger than it appears from the outside. Excellent coffee, and you get a free espresso if you buy a bag of beans! There’s also extra seating in the back as well as a small patio with outdoor seating. None of the tables in the front have outlets, but there are a few in the back. The lavender latte was incredible.

This is a newer shop and feels very classic and polished. They had a good pastry selection and the tiramisu was good. Seating is a bunch of 2 person tables and there was plenty available because I don’t think they’ve picked up traction yet. The coffee was good but nothing stood out about it in my personal opinion. I like this shop and I feel like if I found it in a small town I’d be excited, but Richmond has a wealth of good local coffee shops and I think this one’s greatest downfall is going to be not having anything unique about it that sets it apart from the crowd.
