Ms Elizabeth is our reading tutor and she is amazing. The progress I’ve seen in the kids is great! It takes a special person to be able to teach via zoom and be effective. I’d recommend her to anyone who’s looking. She tailors her program specifically for each child!
Daniel has been amazing with our 7 year old son, who is in 2nd grade and has been struggling with reading basics. Daniel has built a wonderful rapport with our son over 8 months, opening every session with a fun question or zany fact to share, and closing every session with lighthearted challenge like Connect4. In between the fun, it's business time, and Daniel is somehow able to hold our son's attention throughout the 50 minute Zoom session. He is patient yet task focused, and he teaches our son some incredibly helpful rules about the English language that my wife and I would never have known how to verbalize ourselves. We're grateful for his presence in our son's life!
I reached out to Daniel after I received testing results from my daughter’s school that demonstrated some serious concerns in regards to her reading at grade level. Daniel agreed to consultation call of sorts and in that short phone call (probably 15, max 30 minutes) Daniel was kind, and encouraging that he could have someone to meet with Emily virtually within the week. We worked with Katy S. from February until today and I can certainly tell a difference in my daughter’s reading ability and also her confidence. I am super thankful to both Daniel and Katy.
We had a great experience with Daniel’s services. He tutored my daughter who had special reading challenges with her written permit test. My daughter had failed 3 prior times and after working with Daniel for a few sessions, passed her test! He is very passionate and dedicated to helping students learn the way they learn best and tailors the sessions to meet the needs of the student. I highly recommend Daniel for any tutoring needs as you won’t be disappointed.
Daniel has been tutoring my son 2 days per week since Nov 2022. My son can be very challenging. He is on the spectrum, dyslexic, and has ADHD. Daniel has had so much patients with him and the two have really gotten into a rhythm. So far my son has moved up 3 reading levels according to his teacher. We have all noticed so much improvement and I truly believe Daniel is the reason. Johnny is 10 and we have had several wonderful reading specialists in the past however none had really broken through. Daniel tailors his sessions specifically for my sons needs. We have off days of course but more “on“ days the last few months. My son went from dreading every session to asking why Daniel isn't coming and why on the days he or we are out of town. Johnny is trying to read all the signs outside and thank you notes he gets from bday parties. In the past he would go to great lengths to avoid any reading what so ever. Its just so nice to see so much progress. It makes such a difference in my sons confidence and for me as a parent who has tried literally everything. Id recommend Daniel a million times over. I wish he could come over 5 days a week. -Ali
