We were in Atlanta and the traffic was horrible. My wife and I chose to eat instead of getting frustrated on the road. Within 15 minutes of our location was this restaurant. I love Japanese cuisine so it was a no-brainer. We arrived at the beginning of their service hours. The place was vacant except for a handful of diners. My wife and I ordered at the hibachi area because they had a large party in the dining room. That's backward to what I'm used to, but it was fine wherever they wanted to start us. I ordered the filet mignon and my wife ordered the filet mignon with shrimp. The only complaint I had for the meal was the chives. They were in the soup and they were in the fried rice. I could have done without chives. Otherwise, this location is highly recommended!
Nakato is always a fun for a rounded hibachi experience. The bar is a great spot to hang out before your reservation begins. They have a main dining area for regular dine in, and the separate hibachi section itself is split into two parts: one with traditional sit-down tables and another with semi-enclosed rooms featuring lowered seating. That cozy, traditional vibe is really fun. The food quality is consistently high. Everything tastes good - whether you go for shrimp, scallops or steak. The chefs are skilled and entertaining. The only downside is it’s just too bright. They should dim the lights to create a cozier, more intimate atmosphere. But overall, it’s still a great spot for solid hibachi.
Came here for my mom’s birthday dinner. Very busy on Saturday night. Highly recommend reservations. We did hibachi for a party of 6 and all enjoyed ourselves. The new renovations are beautiful.
Split an app, sushi rolls and sushi pieces with a friend. Lots of sushi rolls to choose from. We also split a dessert. Price was reasonable including the cocktails/wine. Definitely will come back to try the Habachi menu.
ALEX was the best waiter I’ve had in YEARS in this city. He was super friendly, attentive and charismatic. We came to celebrate our Baptism, and he even drew a cross in chocolate on a free dessert for us. He was amazing!!! Sadly, our hibachi chef was off his game. Almost everything he prepared was undercooked or overcooked. Rice was so under it tasked like brown rice, the noodles were burnt, and he cooked my salmon longer than the chicken. The vegetables at least were cooked perfectly! And he didn’t even do the fire explosion! :( I will say the kiss of death sushi roll was amazing.
