So many iconic finds at Narrative! It feels like a museum in there. Got a beautiful Danish sofa, lamp, and coffee table, which completely enlivened my empty apartment. Reasonably priced too. The staff were incredibly helpful :) thank you! Dog-friendly

My partner and I love shopping here! The staff is always helpful and friendly, and you find things that are truly sui generis! The quality of the furniture far surpasses what you can buy today, even in the most bougie stores of the Bay. Narrative has been one of our go-to stores to furnish the new house we purchased. Inside you’ll feel like you’ve died and gone to mid-century, vintage & antique design heaven! This is probably the best collection of curated, one-of-a-kind decor items I’ve ever seen. What a gem! Can’t wait to go back!
Great antique shop right next to Jack London square in downtown Oakland. They always have a great selection - and the items are constantly changing which makes frequent visits entertaining. I’ve purchased multiple large furniture items from them. Staff has always been helpful and friendly. The place is also very dog friendly - and my dog always has a friend there when we go (as can be seen from the photos). The place has also been impacted by all of the retail crime that has been hitting Oakland, so definitely great to support their business if you can.
