I came by today to read and the place had such a lovely energy. The music honestly made the experience for me ~ it was low key enough to be background music but also made me stop several times to add songs to my playlists. Coffee was also good ~ the baristas were warm and kind. As a Durham native, I am grateful for the addition of this coffee shop. The baked goods also looked delicious, will have to go back to try. (Only note: put a qr code next to wifi password with Playlist info to share with the class)

Finally got a chance to visit and I am particularly pleased at their hot and cold craft coffee beverages. Anything with tonic is a great offer! The ladies working the front were fantastic and I really enjoyed my coffee and the interior of the shop. The one detractor was the Africans American male standing behind the girls at the counter — I think he’s a manager (not the owner, who is also AfAm). He was standing there on his phone with an uninterested expression as if he didn’t care about the customer experience and any on the interactions taking place in front of him. The women were all cheerful and engaging while he just hovered behind them on his phone. Honestly, his attitude makes me not want to visit this shop. I repeat visit places that make me feel good as a customer and don’t make me feel like I’m just their money maker.

What a gem! I came here after trying so many local spots (many are good), and Narrative stands out above the rest! My nephew got a hot chocolate, which he found particularly delightful: "Very smooth, warm and cozy; very chocolatey and milky without being too sweet." I order the cortado to test any coffee shop because it's a difficult drink to perfect. Narrative hit it PERFECTLY, delivering a strong, smooth, flavorful drink with ideal microfoam. Today I got a flavored lattte, and it was equally delicious. Quality is superb, music and ambiance are pleasant, dog- friendly, and a great spot to sit back and ease into a beautiful day. The staff are warm, friendly, quick, and attentive.

Omg! Their coffee ☕️ is fabulous! 10/10! The vibe is perfect! The coffee/lattes are phenomenal. The owner is quite gracious and helpful. I got the Cookie Butter Oat speciality latte, can we say, delish!? This is my new spot to have a drink and chill ☕️✨️

I absolutely love when coffee shops have fun interesting coffee flavors and Narrative did not dissappoint!! First off I got the seasonal flavor Maple Bourbon Latte which was delicious! The music and atmosphere were relaxed, modern, organic, and comfortable. The music was a good volume and offered a slowed, relaxed low fi vibe. There are plenty of outlets which I much appreciate!! The owner was very kind and welcoming and I will definitely be back again!
