Outstanding Delivery & Installation Experience – Nebraska Furniture Mart I recently purchased a new stove and refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart, and I could not be happier with the entire experience—especially the delivery and installation team. From start to finish, everything went exactly as promised. The delivery was on time, well-organized, and professional. The team arrived within the scheduled window, communicated clearly, and treated my home with care. They carefully delivered both appliances, hooked everything up, and fully installed them without any issues. What really stood out to me was how thorough they were. They made sure both the stove and refrigerator were installed correctly, tested everything, and ensured all appliances were working perfectly before they left. They took the time to explain what they were doing and answered any questions I had, which gave me a lot of confidence. The entire process was smooth, stress-free, and exceeded my expectations. To make matters worse, SquareTrade called me again after my initial review, only to repeat the exact same information — that they cannot process the claim. There was no new solution, no effort to reassess the situation, and no meaningful support. I genuinely don’t understand the point of calling me again just to restate the denial. I expected better communication and accountability from a company that sells itself as a protection plan provider. Given the lack of support and transparency, I will be reporting this experience to the Better Business Bureau so others are aware of how these protection plans are handled. Amazing collection of products and a wide range to offer. But I'm extremely disappointed with the 5‑year insurance plan I purchased through Nebraska Furniture Mart, which is serviced by Allstate. I paid extra for this coverage because it was supposed to include a one‑time deep cleaning and full protection for my sofa for the entire five years. Unfortunately, the moment I actually needed to use the service, both NFM and Allstate have been completely unhelpful. It's been only 3 years and my Sofa cushions are gone, piping is coming out and also the foam is visible. I've reached out to Allstate multiple times and also raised a claim about the Sofa Cushions are gone and the piping is coming out and also the foam is completely visible. They rejected the claim saying that the claim has to be made with in a month, which was never communicated at the point of selling. I'm either ignored, transferred around, or given empty promises with no real action. It feels like the insurance was pushed aggressively at the time of purchase, but once the sale was made, the support disappeared. For a service I paid good money for, this level of neglect is unacceptable. I expected reliable coverage and assistance, and instead I'm getting no help at all. I would strongly caution others before purchasing the Allstate protection plan through Nebraska Furniture Mart.
While Google took us over a circuitous route to reach NFM , but We thoroughly enjoyed our Kitchen and Laundry Appliances shopping at Nebraska Furniture Mart. Huge selection at the appliances section from all brands and we were able to spend quality time reviewing and evaluating all models and options! Finally Rudy help us complete our purchase very easily and quickly and even got us a 11 % discounts on our purchases. We will be back soon for other items on our list!
Much More Than Furniture - NFM carries an extensive selection of furniture for every room of the home. But in addition, at least half the store is dedicated to non-furniture items. Small kitchen appliances - including Kitchen Aid and Smeg, lawn tractors, garage organization systems, electronics (including for the car), Apple products, gym equipment and small, decorative/gift items. If you need a housewarming gift, wedding gift or something for your own home, this would be a good place to look. Four stars because prices aren’t THAT low (compared to the hype in the television and radio commercials). An advantage here is the variety of items available. You could outfit an entire house - inside and out - at this store, but it won’t be especially inexpensive. I also found the furniture to be very on-trend, which isn’t appealing to everyone. They also have gun safes, an extensive Yeti section and game room furniture. If you need a break while shopping, they have a Scooters Coffee and a Subway sandwich restaurant. A huge parking garage is attached to one side of the store that takes you immediately into the store from the second floor. Plenty of surface parking available. The aisles are wide and concrete, so accessible for wheelchairs and walkers. Several bathrooms throughout, and they were clean. They also have a small toy area, but I wouldn’t say this store is good for children as they will get board long before you are finished browsing.
I recently purchased a boxing glove pair along with a boxing stand and an 80-lb boxing bag from NFM, spending around $400 total. The gloves themselves were only $44, but when I opened the box at home, they were clearly damaged with deep scratches. I even tried wiping them with a damp cloth, but the scratches were too deep to remove. I put the gloves back in the box and drove 20 miles back to the store to simply exchange them. When I explained the issue to customer service, they refused to return or exchange the item. They claimed the gloves were “not in the same condition,” even though the only thing I did was wipe them with a damp cloth to check the scratches. They sold me damaged merchandise and then blamed me for it. The staff was extremely rude, unhelpful, and showed zero accountability. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The same gloves are available on Amazon, and Amazon would have exchanged the damaged item without any hassle. I strongly caution anyone shopping here: NFM has the worst return and exchange policy, and they clearly do not stand behind the products they sell. Spend your money somewhere that actually values its customers.
