The Nevada Museum of Art is a cool place to check out in Reno. I went on one of their free Saturdays which is the second weekend of the month. There are a few exhibits, and the dinosaur exhibit on the third floor was my favorite. Very cool to check out and I recommend if you are visiting Reno.

I really enjoyed NMA... It is not a stuffy museum. Much more modern than that. I really appreciated that every exhibit had a tie to the Reno or Nevada area. It took us about 21/2-3 hours to go through. There was a very small permanent collection, all related to Reno and nevada. The Cafe is an absolute standout go there for breakfast or lunch. I had a chocolate peppermint croissant that was the best I've ever had. We saw several people walk in and just walk out with food and baked goods. Clearly a local favorite. Plenty of room to lounge and be on your computer too if you just need a great spot with good coffee. Stand out thing for me was they actually did my eggs over medium which even though I tell people I rarely get. Thank you.

Museum is nice but the gift shop has Jellycats! They had great selection of jellycats in stock when I visited 12/30! They have the new valentines Jellycat collection along with some holiday Jellycats too.

One of the best museums I’ve been to! We tried to do some sketching but felt tip micro pens are not allowed for some reason. The gift shop was pricey but they have an assortments of beautiful gifts and art. The cafe was really wonderful and the barista, Chloe, was super helpful and friendly which made the experience that much better. Can’t wait to come back!
