New Your Prime delivered an amazing dining experience from start to finish. Every dish was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The crab cake was fresh and delicious, the baked shrimp was seasoned just right, and the lamb chops were tender and juicy. The Scottish salmon was perfectly cooked, and the shrimp Alfredo was rich, creamy, and absolutely satisfying. The sides were just as impressive — the Brussels sprouts were flavorful, and the cheese mashed potatoes were smooth, creamy, and packed with comfort. Great food, great quality, and a restaurant that clearly takes pride in what they serve. Highly recommend and definitely returning!
New York Prime had been our favorite steak house for literally decades - beginning with the Boca Raton location, years of patronage and tens of thousands of dollars spent. Things have changed - not for the better, at the Buckhead location. The minute you walk in it is obvious the place is mismanaged beyond words. No doubt the Fire Marshal would have shut this restaurant down due to overcrowding. Christmas Eve 2025 8PM reservations, with a specific request for a table location. Arrived 10 minutes early for an 8pm, finally seated at 8:45pm. Seated in the bar, not the dining room as requested. Crowded is an understatement, loud and obnoxious is accurate. The days of standards music playing in the background has been replaced with an 80's-90's playlist of pop songs. The atmosphere has gone from an elegant fine steak house dining experience to a noisy, crowded barroom experience. I do not believe Bobby Donlan is still part of this restaurant anymore - he was a consummate operator. Mind you this is a restaurant that the average ticket is $150-$200 per person. This WAS our #1 steak house experience in Atlanta, not even a contender anymore. Marcel, Arnette's, to name a couple that are head and shoulders above New York Prime. Your hard-earned money is better spent elsewhere. Eventually all good things end. BTW, this was ordered WELL DONE, and this shows how poorly run the restaurant is, imagine having to send this back after waiting over an hour to get the food, as it was not cooked.
Elite dining and atmosphere. It was such a good time. Our server was amazing. I wish I could remember her name but next time I go I would definitely request her greatest birthday dinner ever.
Came here or dinner and a cocktail. Cliff is an excellent bartender and provided great food reccomendations. I had the grilled oysters, grilled shrimp and alfredo. It was all really good but they oysters were my favorite. Looking forward to coming back and trying more items.
New York Prime is a great steak house in Atlanta. I did struggle to find it because the GPS was taking me to Little Alley instead. New York Prime is so much better. I was greeted with free valet but recommended tipping. I had reservations and they asked us to wait but only three minutes so no big deal(: I went to the bar and ordered a drink. I got a mocktail because I liked the ingredients and they were able to make it a cocktail with vodka. The hostess seated me and my friend. We had great service. The food came out fast and as we ordered. The steak was 10/10. Perfectly cooked. I had the petite filet. The béarnaise sauce on the side was perfect. I had the loaded potato as a side and my friend got a creamed spinach. The bread options at the beginning is the only things I would change.
