I’ve been with Newcastle Ballet Theatre since the beginning, attending their adult classical and contemporary classes, and my nine year old daughter has been attending classes since she was three. The principals Rider and Kristy are down to earth, yet extremely professional and have created such a positive atmosphere in the studio, and both my daughter and I look forward to our classes every week. The junior school teacher, Miss Amelia has nurtured my daughter from a young age and is a wonderful, supportive teacher. Aside from weekly classes, we’ve also really loved their professional end of year full length ballets, which are such a great opportunity for the kids! We’re so grateful to be part of NBT and I would highly recommend them to anyone searching for a dance school!

An amazing school. My daughter attends as a full time student and has grown and developed immensely under the guidance of this amazing school. Highly recommend for full time dancers! Very nurturing and family orientated! A great place that focuses on the each individual dancers technique, motivation, and well-being, to support them in reaching their full potential.

Lovely staff, very dedicated to the art of dance. Our kids love coming to the classes, and the eventual end-of-year performance, which is fun and full of talent. Great value, highly recommended.

My daughter has been attending classes at this exceptional ballet school for several years now. The instructors are extremely caring and professional. The quality of the dancing at the end of year concerts is simply amazing and pretty much a professional level. They are obviously doing something right with so many senior students going on to have professional careers both nationally and internationally.

Not only do the teach great dance technique here but they cater for all levels (including good adult classes). Best of all, it is a friendly and family-based environment. They teach (and practice) building people up and not tearing them down. Great for aspiring professionals as well as people who just want to dance as a hobby. I was so happy to find this place.
