My son & daughter started karate here and loved it. Sensei then asked if I’d like to join in instead of sitting on the side watching their classes. It’s been great. Good for fitness strength and thoroughly enjoy the sparring too. Good family atmosphere with no thugs, but still a fair bit of grunt if you’re looking for it. Highly recommend it to families, something parents can do alongside their teenage kids.

I really enjoy my time training at Newcastle Karate, there is a great vibe, everyone there is friendly and there are no egos. I like to think of it as a bunch of old dads/mums looking to challenge themselves, get a sweat on and learn new things. My son also trains and it’s great to see him listen to the instructions and really concentrating on the techniques. The session length for him is spot on and the teach to student ratio is great.
