Good options available, unfortunately absolutely useless assistant.he had no clue about standard products and would have sent me away without the items I had specifically visited for had I not known in advance.

Every visit to Nicholas's it is such a pleasure thanks to Caitlin. She has a real gift for making the experience fun, welcoming, and educational. Each time I go in, she takes the time to teach me something new about wines and makes wonderful recommendations. We’re on an exciting quest together to find the perfect white Chardonnay!! and I’ve enjoyed discovering new bottles along the way. I always look forward to stopping by the shop, not just for the wine, but for the excellent service and genuine passion Caitlin brings to every conversation. Highly recommend! xXx

Our experience at Nicolas on Great Portland Street was nothing short of exceptional! Zack, the vintner, guided us with unparalleled expertise, showcasing an in-depth knowledge of every wine in the shop. With his French background and upbringing immersed in the world of wine, Zack was the perfect guide to help us make the perfect selection. The shop itself boasts a phenomenal collection, offering a diverse range of wines that cater to every palate. The attention to detail in curating such a remarkable selection is evident, making Nicolas a true haven for wine enthusiasts. Zack's passion and expertise, combined with the outstanding array of wines, made our visit memorable. I am already eagerly anticipating my next trip to Nicolas on Great Portland Street for another round of exquisite selections.

My favourite Wine shop! A wide selection, which could be a little overwhelming if it wasn't for the staff, who are readily available for advice ! Have often been served by Gina, who's suggestions have always been spot on. Was recently advised by a charming french man, who obviously has a passion for wine.

I have been a regular customer here for more than five years, and often find myself feeling disappointed by the lack of effort the staff make to accommodate its customers. This shop has been closed before its advertised opening hours more times than I can count, most recently closing before 5:50pm on a Sunday, even though its meant to be open until 6pm. Despite pleading with the staff member behind the till from behind the window to quickly let me in so that I could quickly buy a bottle of wine, he signaled there was so chance of that, before returning behind the the till with his headphones on. On another occasion, staff kept me waiting for more than 15 minutes while they tried to fix their broken card machine. Even though I was a regular customer they'd known for years, they didn't offer an alternative solution to spare my time and make for a better customer experience. It shouldn't be too much to expect your local wine shop to be open at the hours it claims to be, and not waste its loyal customers' time. Be better, Nicolas.
