Fantastic sushi bar. Didn’t try the sake but loved the otoro nigiri, sake toro nigiri. The ice cream butter cake was a great desert as well.

As other reviewers have already mentioned in other posts, the advertisement for the tuna cutting ceremony was very misleading. We were charged $160 per person just to get told no when we asked for more sushi since we paid for the experience of seeing the tuna get carved and getting to try it fresh. Turns out they just pack about 80/85% of the fish away using 80% of the staff and the other two chefs are left with trying to keep up with feeding 50+ people. The bar area was fortunate to have sat in front of them because their section got about 4 rounds to our 1. Everyone was visibly confused and bothered to have been misled by the advertisement that promised unlimited tuna, not 2 pieces of fish every 30 minutes. If the experience is supposed to be an omakase where you get fixed amount of fish for the time of the show, it should be clearly outlined in the post/stories. When brining up this issue to the staff we were just told "sorry I wish I could give you more, but it looks like the bar area is being selfish with portions." I am very disappointed with this experience and sad my girlfriend did not have a great time. We ended up going somewhere else to eat because we left hungry after having spent $400 on this.

Please read this if you want to go to the bluefin tuna cutting ceremony. My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try this experience for quite a while and when we saw Noir hosted one, he decided to take me for my birthday. Although the very small amount of food we got was somewhat tasty, the advertisement is super misleading. We got sat at the very back of the restaurant even though we had reserved sushi bar. When communicating that with the host, she responded with “our system does not tell us you chose sushi bar or else we would have sat you there”. I checked the reservation we made and sure enough, we chose sushi bar. We were moved to kitchen counter but still wasn’t what we chose. Also, please don’t believe the “unlimited premium bluefin tuna tasting”. The sushi chef did not start cutting the tuna until after 4:30 then took an hour to complete it (props to him, he’s talented!). It then kept going downhill. The restaurant is separated into two sections and the section I was in got 1 round of sushi while the other side would get 3. I would say we got max 2 pieces every 25 minutes. One of the servers (not sure if he was a manager but he hosted the ceremony) came up to us and told us he is trying new things since the last ceremony did not go well and he’s trying a new system so basically trial and error. Let me clarify that the system did not work. Then continued to say “well I don’t know why people complain, if I add everything up we technically have everyone well above the $160” which is not the point. It is advertised as unlimited, not only 10 pieces throughout the 3 hours. My boyfriend and I were actually the very last ones to get sushi every round due to where we were seated and every time they came around, they shorted us one and would say they’d return but never did so on top of barely getting any food, we had to share the one piece. One thing that upset me the most was watching 2 sushi chefs wrapping tuna pieces in plastic wrap to use for the future. They wrapped around 80% of the tuna and it was frustrating watching them take it all to the back instead of focusing on making sure the customers that were already there were satisfied. There were also only 3 chefs working on the sushi, 4 kitchen chefs standing around, and 3 servers next to the sushi counter with their arms crossed waiting for the chefs to give them more to pass around. We understand our server Anthony was not at fault, but he still took initiative and apologized several times on their behalf. We appreciated his service and his effort in trying to make this experience enjoyable. I also want to mention the amount of photographers they had. One got extremely close to my seat and when I sat back, my head hit her arm and she still did not move until she got her shot. I had to lean forward to give her space even though I was sitting…. In my seat. We heard many tables complaining and upset about this experience. We had even talked to some outside and they said “we expected better” “wish there was more food” “first and last time”. We even stopped at in n out after spending $400 and not getting full :(

If you want to wait for 2 pieces of fish every 30-40 mins then this is your place. Came in on April 2nd for the cutting ceremony at 4pm, fast forward to 7pm and had no more than 16.pieces of fish. After expressing our experience the owner came to the table to apologize &(nice guy) and then the fish started coming. Too tables next to me had the same frustration and experience. Was only served 2 pcs of Otoro and 4 pc of Chutoro
