We had such a great experience with North Boston Dog Training! After researching many board and train programs, this one really stood out to us and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Our two Labradoodles, ages six years and five months, needed help with reliable commands, walking manners, recall, reactivity, barking, and jumping. Our older dog was also on a strict low exercise and no jumping routine due to a partial CCL tear, so we needed both dogs to listen well, especially with surgery in her future. Rhonda was amazing with both of them and took such great care of our older dog, even administering her medication as instructed by our vet. She kept us updated with pictures and progress reports throughout training, which gave us so much peace of mind. At pickup, Rhonda walked us through everything the dogs had learned and showed us exactly how to continue their training at home. Since coming back, both dogs have been reliable and correct themselves quickly when asked. Our walks are so much more enjoyable, and our puppy has such a strong foundation. Everyone who meets him can’t believe how well trained he is. Both dogs are calm, responsive, and still their fun loving selves. We are so thankful for Rhonda and highly recommend North Boston Dog Training to anyone looking for real results and genuine care for their dogs.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Rhonda! She did an amazing job training our 4-month-old puppy. In just a short time, he learned all the basic commands like sit and down, has excellent recall, and can even be off leash—he follows us around and doesn't run off. Rhonda kept us updated with pictures and detailed progress summaries, which gave us so much confidence throughout the process. Our pup also had the best time playing with her sweet corgi, which made the experience even more fun for him. Worth every penny—we highly recommend Rhonda to anyone looking for a skilled, caring, and effective trainer!

At first I found it challenging to pick the right dog trainer for our 10 month old golden retriever but after my wife spoke with Mike on the phone, we felt confident this was the place for our dogs board and train. Our Dog worked with Rhonda Greenwood and we were really happy with her professionalism in not only coordinating drop off and pickup but also happy with the results. After coming back from training our dog was more confident and had a better structure. Rhonda gave us a great foundation to continue to grow our dogs off leash obedience and walking skills. We spoke with several other options in the area and felt the pricing was right in alignment with others for 2 weeks. We felt we got great value for the price.

I dropped my young, female Rottweiler off with Mike, who promised to train her and correct the undesirable behaviors I had informed him needed to be addressed. As I explained to him, she is a very friendly, affectionate, high-energy, and intelligent dog, but she can be difficult to control when she gets excited and eats everything she comes across, such as rocks, sticks, etc. I handed him a prescription to treat a recent allergic reaction and he said that it was not a good idea to administer the medication because it lowered her immune system. I replied, "Well, I trust my veterinarian, so I'd like you to give it to her." The following day, he complained to me that she was basically "feral" because, he claimed, I had been indulging her. She was not "feral" and I had not been indulging her. Most of the conversations with Mike were not very productive or informative. When I picked her up after two weeks, she looked traumatized and had lost significant weight. Every time he pressed the button on the remote for the e-collar (which he did almost constantly), she yelped. As soon as I opened my car door, she flew inside, and leaned against the opposite side door, apparently to get away from Mike. He informed me that my dog is "stubborn" and suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder -- which suggested to me that he had not made much progress training her. He told me he would always be available to me and to call him if I needed further guidance. We returned home and she exhibited all the behaviors she had before I brought her to Mike and, worse, she was now anxious. After a few weeks, I called Mike and left him a voicemail explaining that I had not noticed any improvement. He did not call me back. I wrote him an email a couple of weeks later, and he never replied. Basically, Mike charged me $2,800.00 for an e-collar. In his responses to negative reviews, he always blames the owner or the dog.

After speaking with Mike, I was extremely impressed with how he listened to our concerns and desires for our 8mo old lab. My wife and I needed reliable commands and behavior so that our puppy could enjoy all the places we are hoping to take her. Our puppy stayed with Claudia. When speaking with Claudia and meeting to drop off our dog, I felt reassured that we were making the right decision. Claudia was extremely communicative during the two week period and provided pictures and messages throughout. Our dog is now consistently more attentive, calmer, and able to enjoy all the public (and open) places we were hoping she would. I would recommend Mike and his team to any dog owner. Extremely professional, personable, understanding, and communicative.
