A phenomenal dining experience. The restaurant called ahead to let us know it was perfectly fine to leave early for our 8pm show at the Opera House, which immediately made us feel comfortable and completely unrushed. The staff took the time to explain every dish in detail, and the creativity behind each one was simply superb. The flavours were beautiful throughout. I’m honestly speechless, this is officially my new favourite restaurant.

Amazing experience! Anna was our lovely waitress and she made the experience even more enjoyable with her personality, outstanding recommendations, and positive energy. My personal favourites were all the small snacks, beef tartare, takikomi rice dish, miso toothfish and lychee dessert. Although we were not celebrating, it’s a great spot for special occasions. Highly recommend, would return to try their teppanyaki menu.

I chose Oborozuki to celebrate my fiancé’s 40th birthday, and it was an absolutely superb experience. The service was flawless, and every detail was perfectly executed. Simon served our meal, and Til presented our sake — beautifully offered from a Louis Vuitton trunk, which was such a unique touch. Thank you, Oborozuki, for making my partner’s birthday dinner so memorable. The food was exquisite; we chose the four-course menu and were so full by the end that we couldn’t even finish the petit fours. The complimentary birthday cake and candle were a lovely surprise. I also appreciated the intimate and exclusive atmosphere — the restaurant isn’t too large, which made the experience feel even more special. Definitely a 5/5. We’ll be back for sure! Chris and Audrey

Food was really good, with flavours and ingredients that matched super well. Went with the a la carte, which was a decent amount of food without it being too much. Stand out was the toothfish with its amazing textures and the desserts that easily rival any great dessert or cake bar. Service was immaculate and attentive, with an awesome highlight when they bring out the toothfish in a smoky box so you can enjoy the aroma before they prepare it you. Atmosphere was great, with a nice view of the ferry harbour. Tables and dining areas are well spaced apart so it isn't too noisy.

We had 3 course meals and added green salad and kipfler potatoes. Every dish was impeccably cooked and presented. Complexity of flavour enhanced the top quality ingredients. We throughly enjoyed each dish. We were so full by the time get to the dessert. The staff were all friendly and attentive. They accommodated our dairy free (only one person) requirements and navigated us which dish to avoid. The entrance is quite hidden from Macquarie street. This restaurant is perfect for special occasion, we celebrated a birthday. The dairy free birthday dessert was yum and music box playing happy birthday song was a lovely touch. I loved the tooth fish for main. It was delicate yet perfectly cooked with locket miso glaze.
