Really great local bookstore; they have an excellent selection of books from Canadian and Indigenous authors, along with a great catalogue of childrens' books. Lots of good non-fiction books on politics, philosophy and sociology as well. Absolutely worth a visit if you're seeking to support both local businesses and local authors.

Excellent service and selection. This is a cozy little bookstore on the ground floor of what was probably once a home. I came across Octopus Books after my exodus from Amazon and I've been very pleased with their selection and online ordering. I highly recommend Octopus Books if you're looking to break the hold that big business has on retail. Buying from local shops like this feels right and supports our community.

This is a gem in the wild corporate-owned book marketplace. This nice independent store has a lot of interesting books on a variety of topics, both fiction and non-fiction. We order what is not available online, and we are happy to support local businesses.

Amazing little book shop, it’s a little shop that’s on a side street but has a great selection of books. I noticed they have a great selection of books dedicated to Canadian and Indigenous writers while also offering other topics of books dedicated to climate change, children’s books, poems, politics, and a couple others. It’s a small little place, but they offer wonders. Definitely a place to come and check out!!
