Olivia in downtown St. Pete was an exceptional experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful and thoughtfully decorated, with a stylish yet welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. The menu is excellent and well-rounded — there’s truly something that will satisfy just about anyone. The food was incredibly fresh and tasted fantastic, with clear attention to quality and execution in every dish. The staff really completed the experience. They were super friendly, prompt, and attentive without ever feeling rushed or intrusive. Between the atmosphere, food, and service, Olivia absolutely earns five stars. Highly recommended and definitely a place we’ll be returning to.
I have to start by saying that this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. From the food to the ambience and the incredible staff, I was truly blown away. My fiancé and I have never been to St. Pete, but I wanted to surprise him with a trip for his 25th birthday. Based on the reviews and proximity to our hotel, I made the reservation for his birthday night. From the moment we walked in, the staff was on top of our whole experience. Our waiter went out of his way to make our evening special. The food was delicious, the drinks were beyond, and the restaurant itself was elevated and well thought out. Our experience was so amazing that we wanted to ditch our original plans and come back the next night for dinner. However, when we came in around 7:45, we were told they were completely booked for the night, but we could go to the bar and get on their waitlist. After 10 minutes of waiting to speak to a bartender, I went on my phone to see if OpenTable was showing any availability. I saw that they had 3 times open until 9:00pm so I booked the 8:30pm and went back to the host. He told me that they’d honor it and we could come back at that time. I don’t want to take any points away from this review because the staff was so lovely, but I am still confused by this situation and I think this is something the team should be aware of. I would also like to give credit for allowing their staff to be up front about the automatic 15% gratuity. This is something that most restaurants would easily hide and I really appreciate the transparency. Overall, there’s truly nothing bad to say about Olivia! Such an excellent experience both times and we can’t wait to come back. Everything we ordered: Drinks: • Sicilian Lemonade • Isabella’s Passion • Bonanza Cabernet • Strawberry Fields (with Tito’s) Appetizer: • Arancini Mains: • Spaghetti (added chicken) • Mini Rigatoni • Agnolotti (our absolute favorite) Dessert: • Tiramisu • Flourless Chocolate Cake • Birthday Cannoli (provided by restaurant)
We visited Olivia as a family of four and enjoyed our evening seated outside. Initially, there was some confusion regarding our server, which resulted in a 25-minute wait before we received assistance. However, once that was sorted out, our waiter provided exceptional service. The food was served warm and was delicious. The Caesar salad was outstanding, and the chicken Milanese was flavorful with a great sauce—though a little more sauce would have enhanced the dish even further. I tried the spaghetti, a creamy variation of cacio e pepe, which was visually appealing and generously sauced. The mini rigatoni was also quite good, but it too could have benefited from a bit more sauce. The location is fantastic, with ample paid parking options available, including valet service for $15. Although we didn’t indulge in desserts this time, our waiter kindly packaged our leftovers to take home. I appreciated the 15% service charge that is shared among the entire staff, with any additional tips going directly to our server, as they were upfront about this. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend Olivia for a pleasant dining outing.
Olivia was the absolute perfect choice for our Sunday night dinner. We started our evening with cocktails at the bar before moving to the table, where the experience only got better. We began with the Bruschetta, which was a unique spin on the traditional appetizer, with the combination of herbed ricotta, roasted grapes, and almonds with bee sting honey was a 'single bite of heaven! For our mains, our group shared the Margherita pizza, Mini Rigatoni Bolognese, Tortiglioni, and the Lemon Lobster Linguine, all pictured below! Every dish was executed flawlessly, perfectly seasoned, and served with excellent attention to detail. Flawless flavors and a wonderful atmosphere—we already can't wait to return! IG: Shoresandsips
Exceptional dining experience in every way. It was our first time at Olivia's and we were not disappointed in any area. This is a rarity these days. The restaurant is very warm and inviting. The decor is clean, chic and very well done. The only thing I would comment is the shelving that is around the dining room had very little on them. Perhaps putting wine bottles, candles (fake), flowers or something will complete the look. Savannah was our waitress and she was PHENOMENAL! She was engaging, knowledgable about the menu, (food and cocktails) warm, friendly with a vibrant personality. Starting with cocktails ,which is where many restaurants fail. With the prices of drinks these days, they should be executed as well as the food. I started with the Sicilian Lemonade and my partner had the Isabella's Passion. Mine was very nice but didn't hit the spot. My partner loved her drink. Well blended and very smooth. I switched to an Indigo upon Savannah's recommendation and it was outstanding. A beautiful drink to look at and delicious. I had the Wagyu Beef appetizer, which I think was the best beef carpaccio I have ever had. The meat was tender and seasoned very yummyingly and the mushroom puff pastry gives it a unique flavor that put this app. over the top. My partner had the Fungi pizza which she thought was very good. She likes a thin crust which this was with plenty of mushrooms to really give it a lot of flavor. For and entree, I had the mini rigatoni with bolognese sauce. It was better than bolognese I recently had in Italy, so take from that what you will. My partner had the scallops with risotto which she enjoyed very much. The dish was seasoned to perfection. I think the broccoli on her dish could have been eliminated. It just didn't fit the dish in our opinion but it was still delicious. Also noticed and appreciated the manager going to every table checking in on the patrons. Every restaurant should do this but the majority do not. It is a great touch and also necessary for feedback directly to the restaurant. We can't wait to go back and try some other dishes that looked amazing on the way to their tables. A 10 out of 10 dining experience.
