Zara is an exceptional tattoo artist. She’s been in the industry for about 10 years now and really has her craftsman ship down. Not only is the shop located in a beautiful safe area, the shop itself is a safe place that you can find comfort in. Everytime I look at my face or my favorite tattoo (fairy moo) I think of Zara and how amazing of an artist she is and how much of a good person she is to you and how kind she is if you need a tattoo pick me up. It’s a 12/10 will recommend, must stop shop. If you’re looking for clean lines, steady hands, good conversations and speed so you’re not in pain for an extended amount of time, look no further.

Zara is just THE BEST. I’ve gotten a couple tattoos with her now and have enjoyed every experience. This tattoo was the first I’ve done without any prior planning on my part - I let Zara design it and couldn’t have imagined a better design if I tried! I’m obsessed! She is incredibly talented, does the best fine line work, produces the most beautiful pieces, she’s quick, and fun to spend time with. If I could give her 10,000 stars on here, I would!

Edit /Update 03/06/24: I have been going to opal tattoo studio since its inception 3 years ago & have been tattooed by Zara for nearly 5 years now! I am pleased to update that I have nearly covered all the space on my Opal tattoo sleeve. It is beautifully adorned with ink from Zara, Erin & now Lex. 100000/10 would recommend getting your tatts from a female owned and operated tattoo shop! I am a loyal client of Opal Tattoo studio … and I can say with confidence that you won’t find a better shop for fine line tattoos… ANYWHERE. I have been going to Zara (Opal) for 2 years now. I’ve gotten a total of 5 tattoos from her , and each are beautiful , with crisp clean line work & unique designs. Zara is very professional during the booking process , which my Capricorn nature appreciates greatly. Whenever I come in for my tattoo she is laser focused , but also warm and friendly . I always feel like she takes into account my preferences while staying true to her artwork creating amazing pieces. Recently , I’ve also gotten a tattoo from Erin (Lil doe tattoos) which is just as beautiful and crisp as all my previous ink. They really took into account my love for California native plants and went above & beyond my expectations. Their shop is always very clean and nicely decorated with local art and merchandise. Overall, my experience with Opal Tattoo studio has been great, and I can’t wait to continue my Opal tattoo sleeve!

Zara is hands down THE BEST! She is quick and has a delicate touch. I went in for a thigh piece and thought I would be there for three hours. After an hour, she asked me if I wanted to look. I thought she just wanted me to see how things were looking so far. She was done!! The healing was the best- no itching, no peeling. I have since gotten two more tattoos from her and my husband has one. At this point, Zara is the family tattoo artist and it would take a lot To get me to go anywhere else.

The tattoo artists (Zara, Erin, and Jackie) at Opal Tattoo Studio are very professional, talented, straightforward, kind, and cool. It's important to me to spend some of my money supporting small businesses like Opal Tattoo Studio...especially ones that practice and preach acceptance, diversity and inclusion. You know that you'll be receiving the best care when you get a tattoo here. I haven't been tattooed by Zara (yet!), but their work ethic, talent, quality of their work, cleanliness of the shop, price, etc. is amazing. You are paying for a piece of art, as well as the tattoo artists' time and skills. I can't wait to invest more money into their artwork on my body. Jackie tattooed a heart from her Loteria- inspired flash sheet, and I love it!! Thanks all of you for being so awesome. Book your tattoo appointments!! This shop rocks!!
