I had such an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service was exceptional from the moment I walked in—everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. The tacos de lengua were hands-down the best I’ve ever had: tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. What really made the visit stand out was the manager taking the time to explain the different types of mezcal they offer. It was super informative and added a special touch to the meal. You can really tell they care about both the food and the customer experience. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely be coming back.
Oro had some really great food and some phenomenal food service! Everyone we finished a plate our next course was already at our table! If you’re looking for traditional Mexican food but elevated with style and class this is the place! Definitely a place to get some fun drinks and Mexican cuisine! ¡Muy Rico!
Oro by Nixta offers a fine dining twist on Mexican cuisine. Overall, the food is fantastic, but service our night seemed a little slow for the quality of the restaurant. Our favorite dish was the Chochoyotes de Yuca, which is considered an appetizer. These yuca-masa dough balls are melt-in-your-mouth delicious with a creamy queso salsa topped with a refreshingly tangy arugula salad. I cannot recommend this enough. Following that we really enjoyed the Sope de Zanahoria and Taco de Milpa. A sope is essentially a savory, dense masa cake, and it paired well with the roasted carrot. The milpa (squah) taco was so delicious, and the beans inside were a nice texture and flavor. Our mild disappointment of the evening was the Pescado al Pastor. The tortillas, canelli beans, and pineapple sauce were all delicate compliments to one another. However, the fish itself kind of got lost amongst the other flavors and didn’t pack a strong punch. We liked our cocktails as well. Normally, I wouldn’t make a comment on service, but since this is a fine dining place, I’ll make a note. It took almost 10 minutes for a server to come introduce the menu, which was confusing because they seemed well-staffed. Our waiter was nice and informative, but it just took longer than expected to order. The food does come fast after you order, and they are able to adjust quantities in appetizers to accommodate group size. It’s a good restaurant, and I would return!
Everything my tastebuds touched induced a warm feeling of love, joy, and satisfaction. All the dishes we tried upon the first bite I felt my shoulders relax and my mouth excited about the flavors and textures. I’m usually a very picky eater but I went in thinking I was going to try anything I could and I am so incredibly happy I did. Service and staff were polite knowledgeable and attentive, we were treated like family. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the art on the walls are beautiful, deep and thoughtful. Everyone involved in the operation has put their heart into this place and you can tell. Can’t wait to bring everyone I know for this wonderful experience.
We had been meaning to go here as we've heard great things. We took a friend for her birthday dinner and enjoyed many dishes together. Everything was quite delicious, flavorful, and delectable! The quesabirria appetizer was our favorite! Get your reservations early as they are not open every day and the reservations fill up quickly! Enjoy!
