Don't usually put poor reviews. The food was not good. Ordered 2 different rolls. One smelled like chemicals and fishy (all were cooked rolls) the miso soup tasted like dishwater. The server was not great, it's not like they were busy either. She was on her phone. Brought the wrong food to table, wife waited 15 mins for her drink from bar. There was maybe 12 people in the restuarant. My advice is save your money. Go to red salt. Way better food.

We placed an online order today for 5:45pm pick up. Osaka is about 40-45 mins away from us (we’re in Mechanicsville). When my husband arrived at the restaurant they showed him one bag on the to go shelf and he grabbed it and left. When he got home we were missing 2 kids bento boxes ($25-$27 after taxes and fees). I called the restaurant to let them know we didn’t receive it, and the host immediately apologized and grabbed a manager. They said they would refund the money (since we were not going to drive back and forth again). All done, I was happy and content. Thank you. Fast forward to 8:30pm Osaka is calling me and it’s Evan, the GM of Osaka. He called to apologize about the order, confirm the refund, and offered our next meal on them for when we order next. I was not expecting a phone call from him. The manager and the host from earlier apologized and said they’d refund the money and I truly was okay with that outcome. For Evan to go the extra step really makes me appreciate Osaka even more. Looking forward to dining with them again. Thank you ☺️

had such a good time at osaka, we got the love boat and it was so worth it and very well priced. they even let us substitute certain rolls for gluten allergies and were very cautious about their allergy procedures!! ((plus gluten free soy sauce)) savannah is the best server ever ask for her when you go in !!

We came for lunch today, and had the Teriyaki steak Bento boxes! We loved it and immediately realized that the quality is head and shoulders above your average sushi restaurant. This was our first time here, though we have been long aware of the shopping center it is in and that there were restaurants there, it wasn't until I was searching around on Maps that I found Osaka S&S and made a plan to go on our day off together. It outwardly appears that the lunch menu is restricted to the specials, but you can order the full dinner menu during lunch too. I just wanted to mention for anyone who is wondering or searching for that information here. Definitely returning!!!

Went to Osaka today for the first time and it was excellent. My server was great. She recommended the incredible roll and it was so good and tasteful. This will definitely be my goto spot when I’m in Richmond!!!
