I scheduled a pickup and Melody and Isaac came, and it was a wonderful experience! They warned me that they might not accept my couch and I totally understood. They did end up taking the couch and were so so helpful. They also let me know a lot about the STD testing and HIV testing that Out of the Closet offers and I loved that.
I really enjoy coming here. There are some fantastic deals. The staff are always really nice and chatty, we donate and purchase stuff from here a lot. It's a great cause too.
Absolute best thrift store in Austin! I go quite frequently and have always had wonderful experiences and exchanges with the employees there. Super unique finds at an affordable price!
I scheduled a donation pickup for some furniture. The furniture I intended to donate was denied except one piece. The lady that came out to help with the pickup stated that she and the guy would come back the next day to pick up other pieces. I called at around 11:30 the next day and got a message that there was no mailbox set up. I had no way of contacting the company but went on the word of the girl. I am very disappointed that the girl lied and did not come back the next day. In order to run a non-profit, the face of the business must be ethical and creditable. I would suggest that others donate to other companies.
I walked in at 6:43pm and was very rudely told the registers closed in 2mins! And then I quickly was shopping for a piece to my Halloween costume and then was reminded again I only had 1 mins by another person. I would update your Google hours if you can’t actually take customers until 7pm. Disappointed!
