Spa was lovely but they don't advise you that if you go over 4 hours parking you get a ticket for £100 from Parking Eye. We should have been told this at reception, especially as the spa asked if we had been before, and we hadn't. The sign outside doesn't mention 4 hours, nor does the spa confirmation booking details. This is clearly used to make more money as spa says there is nothing they can do to help!! Stay clear unless you want an extra fine. I was going to return as the spa was relaxing, but I will never use any of their facilities again. Disgusting way to treat clients, AND I AM DUSPUTING THIS!!!
Hubby and I first went in November for spa and facilities, used vouchers from our wedding, had a really nice experience, booked before we left to go again in January, paid around £100. I said it’ll be something to look forward to in the new year. I was poorly and not well enough to go and enjoy it, I couldn’t help picking up an infection, I didn’t want to spread it around (NHS worker here) but this was less than 48hr cancellation (100% charge) which could not have been avoided. I asked to rebook for when I felt better, was denied request, no concern for my welfare. We don’t spend much time and money treating ourselves because I work such long hours looking after others so this has meant not only have we lost our £100, but we have completely lost the opportunity to spend a rare day out together during a cost of living crisis. Extremely disappointed with customer service and understanding provided.
Went with a groupon voucher bought for me as a gift in June , availability was a lead time of approx 3 months and not good choice of times , had to pay a supplement for a weekend - all good though . However , having been before I can say I would never go again , this is not a spa , it’s a hotel pool with treatment rooms . A spa day used to be “a day “ you now only get 3 hours . Hotel restaurant used to serve food through the day , now only serves food from 3pm . The spa itself offers no facilities for food or drink . Groupon voucher included Prosecco - this was not offered or mentioned by the spa ( only remembered after the day) . Changing rooms- non existent - it is a very small room with. 2 showers and 2 toilets only so communal changing and a very small room the size of an average kitchen to give a guide ! I don’t think it’s appropriate to not have a private cubicle. Hotel guests and children allowed after 4pm - no offence to children at all (I have my own !) but I go for a spa day to have a little peace and when the spa only offer the afternoon 3 hour session to groupon voucher guests feels a little like they don’t deserve some peace. Guy on reception so friendly and helpful cannot fault at all and he deserves employee of the month for his working attitude . Treatment staff - just felt a little formal attitude when you go in the treatment room but the treatments were good so cannot fault them . Cleanliness - clumps of hair around the pool floor not nice . Pool - ok temp but not warm to be comfortable . Overall I would not go again as to me this is just a pool and not a spa day , been for spa days at other places who have the facilities and staff to provide what a spa day should be
I had an amazing experience at NuSpa Manchester! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the massage treatments were professional and soothing, I left feeling completely refreshed and relaxed and I really enjoyed the warm pool. The only downside for me with the experience was that there weren’t any private cubicles for changing, so I ended up using the toilet to get changed as I didn’t want to change in a room with other guests. There was also limited space to get ready afterwards, no hooks for coats or side space to put makeup/hair products etc. Thankfully it wasn’t too busy when I went, but had it have been busy, it would have been very difficult to get changed. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend it! Great price too.
Really decent spa. Perfect for a duo or solo. The pool is a good size and good temperature. The spa is very nice and warm too. The ‘access spa’ package came with the pool, a sauna, a steam room and a gym and a free complimentary drink and snack (we chose rose Prosecco and cake). They gave us a white robe and slippers. Spent 3 hours there. Only slight downside is that there was no actual changing room, (only a room with showers toilets and lockers all in one) so had to get changed in the toilets, which isn’t really a problem unless the place is busy. Overall, a very positive experience. Would recommend and go again :) and very good for the price!
