We boarded our 9 year old boxer here over the weekend and we were super impressed. The facility is super clean and smells great upon entering. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our dog stayed for 3 days and we opted for a bath. They were so patient and loving with our girl. I highly recommend this business for boarding your beloved pets. I felt safe and secure leaving Luna here and I think she had a great time.
Wonderful place! Always wonderful service! Love the morning girlies! Despite some crazy rude man not wanting to pay and making a scene 🥴, we were attended to promptly and courteously. My pet left happy and smelling amazing! 🤩
Page 1........We were going to leave for South Padre Island on Tuesday afternoon, and as always we leave our dog at Paws and Claws just loke the rest of our family and friends. We had never had a problem there. Service has been good. We have never left our dog anywhere else to compare the service with. So, we get there and let the attendant know we want to pick our dog on Sunday. They said that they are closed on Sunday all day. So I told the attendant that my mither-in-law would pick our dog up on Saturday. So the attendant charged us and we paid Tuesday to Saturday. When we called my mother-in-Iaw she said she was going to work. So I went in and paid for Sunday nights stay. From there we took of to the beach with the family. Today on Monday my friend recommended we have the spa service for our dog before we go get him. So I called and advised the attendant we wanted to have a spa service before picking our dog up. She said that service cost about $22. and that our dog would be ready at 3pm. So I said ok, I will pay it when we get there. So we get the at 3pm and we are getting chaege about $51. I told the attendant that we were told it was going to be like $22. The attendant said yes but you owe $51. You owe and extra day plus the spa. I told the attendant that we pre-paid the whole days. But the attendant advised us that the computer made a mistake and that we owe an extra day we didn't pay for. I advised the attendant that I paid for the days that I asked for plus the extra day that I needed and that that's what I was also told by the attendant that day. The attendant asked me if I had a receipt, I said I don't have it with me because I was expecting to just pick up our dog. So I told them I will drive home and pick up the receipt. Upset for the bad customer service I swung open the door and drove home then drove back, showed them the reciept. The attendant advised that the papers show that I owe an extra day, so I told him I hadn't even looked at the papers when I left, I believed in what I was being told and had no reason to check to make sure everything was good. So they said it was a computer mistake that you are gonna have to pay for. I told them whose computer is it and he said ours. So then I said I am not going to pay for a mistake your computer made. So it was obvious they were not going to give us our dog. I called the police and the officer spoke to us and the attendant. The officer advised that even though it was their mistake that services were still rendered and that I had to pay for that night plus the spa. I didn't think that paying for the extra night was right when it wasn't my mistake. An, "I am sorry Sir, we calculated the service days wrong, or a 5 or 10% discount for the hassle would have been ok, but it is the principle not the money. So I decided to just pay the extra night and just move ahead with my day. When the attendant spoke to me he said he had spoken to the owner and that the owner stated that they were not going to charge me for that day, just the spa. So I was like ok, that is fine. So everything was taken care of and everyone was happy. At this point I would still jave returned to Paws and Claws, but THEN, THE MANAGER PUT HER 2 CENTS IN. She told me what had happened and I went ahead and explained it to her. She said that still services had been rendered for that day and that I should have had to pay. I again told her I understand your side of the problem but also understand my (the customer's) side of the story. She said ok, that's fine but just know that next time all services for all days will be rendered. I told her well I hope so. If the days are charged correctly, there shouldn't be any problem. But she kept on going and saying well the next time you act the way you did we will not serve you. I asked them how did I act. She said you acted aggressively with the door and threatened us?????? I told her I left and SWUNG the door open yes, BUT I NEVER, NEVER threatened anyone, that is for sure and you can review your cameras.
We were out of town for a few days. Very convenient app to schedule appointment and upload vaccination records. Our pup returned to us happy and healthy after her 5 day stay at Paws and claws.
