I took a try it class at Payne Street in October, followed by the five week session class in November. I really loved the experience. Shelley was my instructor for the try-it class and Tonya and Sarah were the instructors for the session class. They were friendly, helpful, and really made sure that we knew what we were doing. I never sensed even a second of impatience from them. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming. I’m honestly sad the classes are over but I plan on taking more because I loved it so much. I highly recommend PSP to anyone looking to try out ceramics.

I recently attended a pottery class with a group of friends, and it was an absolute blast! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The instructor. Tonya, was not only skilled but also incredibly patient and helpful. Throughout the class, we had the opportunity to get our hands dirty and create our own unique pottery pieces. It was a fantastic learning experience. Tonya guided us through the process, making it easy to understand even for beginners like me. What made this class truly special was the fun we had. Laughter filled the room as we molded and shaped our clay into various forms. It was a perfect blend of creativity and relaxation. I would highly recommend this Payne Street pottery class to anyone looking for a fun and creative experience. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a newbie like me, you'll leave with a newfound appreciation for pottery and a one-of-a-kind creation to cherish. It's a fantastic way to spend time with friends and unleash your inner artist!!

Payne Street Pottery has been my happy place for just over a year. Took a try it class with Amy, got hooked, and now I take a regular weekly class with Matt. Matt is the absolute best. The people here are second to none and are so welcoming and supportive. I have learned so much, and wheel throwing has been such a great stress relief. Highly highly recommend. Even if you don’t want to commit to a full session, give a try it class a go. You won’t be disappointed. #potteryclasses #funthingstodoinlouisville #potteryclasseslouisvilleky #handmade #clayworkshops #datenight #ceramics #claystudio #artclasses

The highlight of my week! When I was looking for pottery classes in Louisville, I was looking for a small studio that had that nice community feel. I’ve gotten so much more than I bargained for, and that’s exactly why I’m still here 5 years later! I can’t recommend the teachers here enough, you get such personalized instruction no matter what level you’re at (even if like me, you’re not one of the “naturals” 😂). Bonus: all of your relatives will now get to enjoy a plethora of fancy homemade pottery gifts to brag about!
