Pazza Notte is clearly a very popular spot in Midtown. The night I went, it was packed and lively, with a DJ playing music and a fun, energetic atmosphere. I sat at the bar and had a great experience overall. I ordered a martini, penne à la vodka, and a Caesar salad. The martini was excellent, and the pasta was absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Easily the standout of the meal. The Caesar salad, however, missed the mark for me. It didn’t taste like a traditional Caesar dressing at all and came across more like a watered-down buttermilk dressing. I’d love to see them improve or rethink that dressing because the rest of the food was so strong. The waitstaff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and clearly handling a busy crowd with ease. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, which adds to the appeal. Overall, great vibes, great drinks, and fantastic pasta. I’d definitely return—just skipping the Caesar next time.
Atmosphere: We went in on this Monday night to celebrate our anniversary. It was clear the host did not communicate to our server that we were celebrating because no one had even said happy anniversary. Food: Penne Vodka sub Fettuccine add chicken was flavorful but some of my fettuccine was under and crunchy. Perhaps they execute pizza better. Service: Sol was our server. They were wonderful. I believe had they known it was our anniversary, they would have said something at the very least.
Came here for dinner before a broadway Sacramento show and we will be back. Had the Caesar and calamari. Both portions were huge and we did not have room to try their pasta. The pastas we saw others get looked and smelled amazing. Our appetizers were delicious! I love Caesar salad and know a good one, this is one of the best. I recommend making a reservation or if there’s a wait sit at the bar like we did. Patsy our bartender was awesome! She was super friendly and working hard. John the bar back was also great. It was his first day but he crushed it. My Shirley temple was refilled before I even realized I needed one. This is the perfect spot for a date night, group celebration, or stopping in for drinks and appetizers like we did. Plus they treat you like family with complimentary focaccia to start that is incredible and house made limoncello to end the meal. Can’t wait to go back. A bonus is if you’re going for a Broadway Sacramento show and show your tickets for the night they give you 10% off! The photo of the Caesar looks small but we had already dug in!
We made our reservation through the Resy app, and my husband noted it was my birthday in the booking. We arrived right when the restaurant opened, and the hostess greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. Our server promptly brought water and explained the day’s menu. We ordered the spaghetti bolognese, mushroom risotto, caprese classic, and four seasons pizza. Everything was delicious and satisfying—the pizza had a thin, crispy crust with fresh toppings, while the risotto and pasta were both flavorful. The house bread was served warm and fresh, and dipping it into the olive oil was a treat. For my birthday, they kindly served me a complimentary soda. After our meal, they surprised me with a gelato topped with a candle and even took a Polaroid photo of us, which they gifted to us right away. Such a thoughtful touch that made the evening extra special! Parking is available on the street and in nearby public lots. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with excellent food and warm hospitality. Definitely a place we’d love to come back to.
I called to make a reservation (Tuesday evening) I was put on hold for 20min and no one came back. I came in shortly after and had a 20min wait. We ordered a calamari appetizer, I was not a fan for the breading/batter as it was grainy and tasteless. I asked for s spicy sauce and specifically requested the spicy chutney which came with a $3 cost for about a tbs of sauce. The corkage fee is $25. The penne vodka was fine, pasta is not made in house. Really quite mediocre and nothing special about this place. I will not be back as the food was nothing impressive, the service needs improvement, and the cost is quite expensive for what was received. Paid over $100 for 2 people.
