10/10 would recommend. Great quality of food, decent price, friendly and passionate staff. Considering how much fast-food chains like McD and Wendy's charge for a burger nowadays, it puzzles me why anyone would want to go there instead of supporting an independent, locally owned busines like this place. It's almost an insult to compare this or even mentioning McD in the same sentence when you're taking about burgers.

I had no issues with the burger. Burger was fine. A little small but it was fine. What I had an issue with was the gentlemen behind the counter. I’m a patron of the old restaurant that used to be here. I came here expecting some information on food. Since it’s my first experience at a smash burger. I got the hot and smoky double which felt like a single. There was 2 of us. So there should have been two of everything and with a bill of almost $60 I figured we got two of everything well I was wrong. Not only did I not like the experience. I felt like I was over charged, there’s not much here to account for the price regarding atmosphere. But I wish them well. Have a great day. Edit: My review was my experience at your establishment. If you don’t like it tough luck. I said what I said and I moved on. The owner of Pearson saying I’m only trying to damage a small business. I support family businesses. Small business too. But I’m also extremely honest. Sorry bub.

The burger and fries were amazing! We enjoyed the Smashburger very much and had just the right amount of veg and sauce to bun and burger. Our bill was just over $40 including tip for 2 burgers, a lg fry, and 2 sodas. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in after work, as someone mentioned to me this place was worth trying. I ordered the double Pearson Street smash burger and a regular fry. Jumped into the fries first. Not sure if they double fry them or not, but they were really crispy. Not overdone though. The burger was huge! Very nicely done with fresh tomato and lettuce. Had great flavour and was also perfectly cooked. Will need to try their melts next as they sounded really good.

Pearson Street – Smash Burgers N’ Melts is exactly what you want in a burger spot—straightforward, flavorful, and welcoming. I went for a classic smash burger with fries, and it absolutely hit the mark. The burger had that perfect crispy edge and juicy bite that makes a smash burger so addictive, and the fries were golden, crisp, and well-seasoned. The atmosphere had an easygoing, neighborhood vibe that made it feel instantly comfortable, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do, both in the kitchen and at the table. If you’re in Ottawa and craving a smash burger done right, Pearson Street is worth the stop. Great food, great vibe, and great people behind it all.
