My gf's beloved aunt used to be a hippie artist there(lol,jk beau),she spent much time there in her adolescent and we were down there and went by it on accident and we stopped and it wasn't open, but she found someone she knew from way back when on the directory list and we buzzed her to find out she has a show at the Clifton rec center on Nov. 20, for all the art lovers l(myself included) the Pendleton art center is one of those hidden gems in our great city!

Final Friday was very fun! 8 floors of artists who produce a great variety of art. It can get quite hot with only some studios having A/C. There is an elevator but most people take the stairs.

This is a gem of a place. The eight floors and the annex are loaded with artists of all types. The building use to be a shoe factory before it became an art gallery. On the last Friday of the month-Final Friday is the monthly art show for the building. Many of the studios will have snacks for this event. You can talk to the artists. In the warmer months there are food trucks and music. Valet parking. The individual studios are open by making arrangements with the artists between Final Friday showings. There are locally owned restaurants nearby. I take art lessons here. It’s a special place.

Visited the Clay Alliance gallery on the 4th floor! 25 local Clay artists represented the larger 150 member Clay Alliance! Yummy snacks and wine while checking out some beautiful clay art!

About the Annex Gallery Located in the Pendleton Art Center compound in the Annex Building, they are a 4,000 square foot gallery hosting timely and socially relevant exhibitions of local and international artists. Since 2017 they have hosted their Cuban art exchange project. This current exhibit will blow your mind. Thanks Jens Rosenthal and Kay Hurley for what you do in this community 😊🥹
