I took my iPhone XS in for a screen repair because the original was cracked. They quoted me £60, which already felt on the high side, but I went ahead because they claimed they used “high-quality” parts and offered a warranty. Biggest mistake ever. After picking up the phone, the screen looked okay at first glance, but something felt off – the colours were washed out, the touch response was sluggish in some areas, and the brightness was terrible even at max. I took it straight to another reputable repair shop the next day to get a second opinion. They inspected it and immediately confirmed: it’s a cheap fake/third-party screen, not even close to original quality. They told me a proper original or high-quality OEM replacement for an iPhone XS should cost around £30–£40 max in their shop, and definitely not £60 for a knockoff. I went back to the first shop, explained the situation, showed them the second shop’s assessment, and politely asked for a replacement with a genuine or at least decent screen, or at minimum a partial refund. They flat-out refused. The guy behind the counter just shrugged, said “we don’t do refunds or replacements once the phone leaves the shop,” and that “all screens are the same quality these days.” Zero accountability, zero customer service. £60 for a fake screen that performs worse than my cracked original one, plus an attitude that made it clear they don’t care if they rip people off. Avoid this place at all costs – there are much better and cheaper options literally down the street. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere that actually values their customers and uses real parts. This place gets a massive 1/5 – actually 0/5 if I could. Never again.
Best phone repair shop in Belfast. Came in with a charging issue, fixed it free of charge and got a discount for a great phone case. Also very good location right across from castlecourt. Definitely would recommend.
Phone needed a new battery. Owner explained clearly what was needed and agreed price. Phone was ready inside one hour. Owner told me there was a chance the screen would break when removing. However, this was avoided. Honest company and fair prices. Highly recommended. I will be definitely be using again for all future repairs.
Paid a lot of money for a led screen repair and the man has put a cracked led screen in the phone and the crack is getting worse every day! With lots of pressure points on the phone screen to resulting in my phone screen being so jumpy I can hardly use it!!!! Told me I had a three month warranty and brought it back two days later and wouldn’t fix it
