Girlfriend wanted to try something new so we went here. The heat was out so the restaurant was about 56 degrees inside. Kind of annoying, but nothing to be done, so we roll with it. The server was very nice and attentive without being overbearing. Cool guy. I should note that we came in at 4pm on a Tuesday and there were only 3 other tables. (Probably because the heat was out.) The food came out pretty quickly. Honestly it came out...too quickly. As a cook it kind of concerned me how fast it came out. I was watching the server bring out my plate and I was thinking to myself they didn't just whip out a precooked chicken did they? They did. Now I understand that batch cooking lots of chicken and reheating it is the norm as it speeds things up when you're slammed with a million orders. But when you have 4 tables in the entire restaurant why on earth would you not cook a fresh chicken breast? The alfredo and the fettucine were great, but the chicken left a bad taste in my mouth. Literally. It tasted like they fully cooked it...twice. I know it's not the rittz, but damn that was a bit lackluster for a slow day. 🤷♂️
Disappointed. It’s been a while since I’ve ordered food here. My daughter got a coffee here more recently and she liked it. But today I came in hopes of good food and good atmosphere. On this cold Black Friday. It was the afternoon around 1:40 pm. The place had a few patrons. I really wanted to comeback here and be floored. I decided on getting the mushroom and artichoke pizza. It was not what I expected. I wanted a chew crust pizza instead the crust tasted like a gluten free crust. There was no give or chew whatsoever. Next the pizza lacked the flavor of a mushroom pizza maybe because it should have been loaded more with mushrooms. Then as far as artichoke goes it was just one that I’ve gotten from a jar from Costco. I was not floor and it left me wanting more.
We had a mixed experience here. When we arrived, the hostess was quite rude and dismissive. Despite us waiting patiently, we eventually had to approach her at the register just to get seated. I understand there was a large event happening and extra setup was needed, but that doesn’t excuse the attitude when simply asking if we had a reservation. Once seated, things improved — our server was friendly and attentive (different person), the hostess continued dragging chairs loudly while setting up. Food were a little overcooked (the pasta too mushy), but the flavors were still enjoyable. We got the steak and the angel hair pasta. Just go get the pasta lol.
They were pretty busy when we went (Saturday Lunch). I had made reservations. Service was okay, but could have been a bit better on checking in on our table. Food was just ok. They don't allow dogs, not sure about service animals (even though they should allow them). Overall, it was okay
I want to take this opportunity to edit my review. Initially, I chose to focus solely on my positive experience with our main server, but there were other aspects of the service that I can no longer overlook. While I enjoyed certain elements of this spot, I couldn’t help but feel that something was off about the service during my visit. One of the female servers came over, dropped the food abruptly on our table, and walked off without a word. It was so abrupt that it stood out, but I chose to let it go at the time because I didn’t want to disrupt my time with my parents. Later, a male server who assisted our main server also acted disinterested, as if delivering the food was a burden. This was particularly disappointing because our main server was so friendly—it’s clear that good service is possible here. I decided to edit my review after hearing from my siblings, who visited a week ago and experienced the same lack of attentiveness. This suggests a recurring issue that needs addressing. For me, a good dining experience goes beyond just the food. The service and atmosphere are just as important, and when they fall short, it inevitably diminishes the overall experience. Unfortunately, at this point, it’s looking very unlikely that I will return. ———— This spot is a great! The open and airy setting, paired with friendly staff, makes for a welcoming dining experience. The food is delicious, from nicely seasoned pasta to flavorful appetizers and creamy clam chowder. Each dish is presented with care, and the overall vibe is warm and inviting. Definitely a place I’ll visit again! Highly recommend.
