My husband and I are visiting and came to this restaurant a few times. To start off, the restaurant is busy. All the times we came with reservations we had to wait awhile. On 1/16/25 we were seated right by the kitchen. Very loud and servers were running in all directions. Not relaxing. There was a line out the door. I had the angel hair with tomato's and basil sauce and dinner salad. The salad wasn't special and I had enough pasta for 4. I couldn't take the leftovers because we are staying at a hotel. I hate wasting food. My husband had the piccata which came with a side of spaghetti. Again, a lot of food. We skipped dessert and coffee because of the loud atmosphere. We went back to the hotel for a quiet after dinner drink. If you want a relaxing place to eat, this isn't the place.

Food was absolutely marvelous, scrumptious and delicious all in one. The server Christian aka Mc Loven was on of the best servers that I probably encountered. He had outstanding charisma, he knew his menu and items. That being said and done... ALL combined made it a phenomenal experience. It was my first time there. Best believe I will be returning. Thank you so much.

The atmosphere is great, it was a Monday evening and they were busy! Definitely a versatile place, I went with family, but it can easily be a date spot as well. Prices are reasonable due to the portions you get. I had the baked mostaccioli which was good and the vanilla gelato (which was three scoops, if I had known, I would’ve split it) , which was also good. The only knock I’d give the place is that the service was not attentive. Often times we would look around for the waiter. At the end of the meal, my mother got up to try to look for the waiter to settle the bill.

We had such a fantastic experience at Gavi Piazza! • I ordered the panzerotti, something I hadn’t found in Arizona before, and it was absolutely amazing. • My son had the pepperoni pizza, which was equally fantastic—the sauce had incredible flavor, the pepperoni was spot-on, and the mozzarella was delicious. The service was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was packed, we walked up and asked for a three-top, and the staff kindly told us to hold tight—they managed to squeeze us in. It was clear that reservations are probably preferred on weekends, but the team handled the crowd with grace. Everything—food, drinks, service, and atmosphere—was top-notch. This is one of those locally owned Tucson gems that deserves more recognition. Busy for a reason, and we’ll definitely be back frequently. Highly recommend Gavi Pizzeria!
