When we inherited this Davenport it was in a really sorry state and we weren’t sure what to do with it. Selwyn collected it and worked his magic, and was so genuinely enthusiastic about every little detail. We’re delighted with it - I would highly recommend Pilgrim’s Progress for any furniture restoration projects!

I would highly recommend Selwyn and Pilgrim's Progress. I inherited a broken antique clock from my uncle and Selwyn has restored it beautifully. He did a tremendous job on the wooden casing and arranged for the mechanism to be repaired by an expert elsewhere. I now have an accurate, reliable and beautiful timepiece with real sentimental value. Selwyn is a true gentleman with an evident love for his craft who offers fantastic customer service. The store itself is also an intriguing and unique place to explore if you are interested in antiques. Definitely 5/5

I looked for new bedroom chests of drawers to match my wardrobes for over a year, but I couldn’t find any as well made as mine, which, being 25 years old were a bit battered! So I decided to have the 3 chests refurbished In Pilgrims Progress. Selwyn did a fantastic job, the chests of drawers look brand new and will certainly last another 25years. Thank you Selwyn, the price was very reasonable and much, much less than buying new chests of inferior quality.

Having seen it on his website I ordered a Victorian pitch pine desk from Selwyn in the middle of the last lockdown and he agreed to hold it for me until lockdown was over. After a bit of a delay which was my "fault" as the room it was going into wasn't ready the desk arrived today with Selwyn having driven it from Liverpool to north Wales. I'm delighted with the desk and the finish and extremely pleased that I found it - nothing seemed to be too much of a problem for him. In fact I already have plans to visit the showroom to see what else he has that isn't on the website - I can already feel the pain in my wallet (not that he is expensive, just that I know I'll want more bits) lol.
