I've only ever skated there, but It's got a really cool visual vibe and it's pretty good for kids, but when it comes to the fun for teenagers and adults, it's not the best. The songs are all expected and overplayed. Their playlist is probably about 15 songs and you'll recognize all of them if you haven't been living under a rock. At the snack bar, the food is very expensive for very little and since they expanded, they've lost their pretzels (which was my favorite thing to get there) and unless you wanna be there at a really weird hour, it's super crowded because everyone under the age of fifteen seem to have the primal urge to have their birthday there and bring an entire legion of friends and family members. As expected, it's kinda hard to reserve a good time for a party there, but if you have a kid or are a kid who doesn't mind all that stuff, then it's probably gonna be some of the most fun you'll have.
everyone should go here at least once. skating: huge rink, super fast service and really great atmosphere. everyone here was trying to have a good wholesome time and everyone was nice and helpful. if someone made you fall they helped you up, lots of smiles. the arcade part felt a lil bit like a rip off as most games ended up being $3 to play if you bought a low tier of credits. but it's mostly claw and ticket machines so great way to occupy the kids while you skate. the bowling looked great and I will be back to play. I also want to use their karaoke room it looks amazing. The burgers tasted great but the meat was overcooked for my taste. overall I want to have all my birthdays here and I want to keep coming back and become part of the family.
We came out to Pins and Wheels (formerly Playland I believe from when I grew up here) for my 6 year-old daughter's friend's birthday party and boy did they soup the place up! It's been a LONG time since I've been here but they have so much to offer. They have skating/rollerblading (rent or bring your own) and offer Skate Mates to assist the littles for extra $, or an adult can walk with them on the floor. The smallest skate size they have is 8 so my 3 year-old used their adjustable skates that littles wear with shoes on. During the time we were there they also did the Hokey Pokey, a learn-to-skate session, races for all ages, and the Limbo on the floor with skates. Then they have an arcade area with lots of different types of games, karaoke room, bar that you can even skate to, axe throwing, bowling, a cafe, some sort of virtual arena room, an indoor open area with yard games, and lots of seating. The staff seem to be knowledgeable and enforce the rules for everyone's safety, the place is clean, music is loud but fun, and the host of our party said it was easy to work with them. It's super packed when all the parties are there, that's my only knock. My kids have now been here twice for two different parties in the past few weeks and they have a lot of fun!
I didn't know what to expect but Pins and Wheels totally blew me away. The vibe is awesome (modern, clean, and lively without being too loud). The bar has a great drink selection, and the food feels more like a real restaurant than your typical bowling alley fare. The bowling setup is top-notch, and the arcade kept us entertained while we waited for our lane. You can easily spend an entire evening here.
We came last year for my niece's birthday and decided to come again for her birthday this year. We didn't know what to expect with the renovations that took place, but as soon as we walked in we were flabbergasted. The expansion was incredible. I have been coming since I was a kid and I recognized the rink, but everything else was mind boggling. We loved the layout and all of the choices of activities to do...but what really set the atmosphere was DJ DK and Aaron. The music set the tone for the entire evening and it was nothing but good vibes and great memories being made. Everyone in our party was jamming out to DJ DK's selections. You couldn't help but move your body. And Aaron was patient and explained rules to us. Not only did he ensure we were safe, he made sure we felt welcome. From the big rink to the practice area, Aaron engaged with everyone and was sure to tell me that it is for everybody not just experts. And that was proven true when DJ DK announced the next song would be for beginners only. It was so great to be able to go at our own pace and enjoy all of the big rink. It was also really awesome to see tricks and coordinated choreography of those that were so skilled when they had the big rink to themselves, as well. Thank ya'll for making this a night to remember. We will def be back.
