I had 2 other Mohs procedures done previously by another Dr who has since retired. Both were very unpleasant experiences. However this procedure by Dr Velez and her team was a totally different experience. They were professional ,caring and informed me of everything that was going on. I felt very little during the procedure and have had no pain or discomfort afterwards. No bruising or swelling this time. I can’t say enough about her and her team. They are the best!!

As I was searching for a skin doctor, I checked my insurance. Dr Velez is in network, close by and had many good reviews. At my appointment, she took her time to do a thorough full body skin exam. She explained things in an easy to understand way. She is polite and friendly. I recommend her.

Was not seen because they didn't bother to verify my insurance or call me ahead of time to let me know they could not verify it. They sent me multiple messages asking to confirm my appointment, I confirmed and thought that all was fine. When I arrived the receptionist had no clue what was going on. I had to make childcare arrangements and waste an entire afternoon only to be told that I should call my provider. The receptionist was apologetic and kind. However, I was wanting to be seen for serious concerns. I made an appointment elsewhere but now I need to wait longer until my appointment! This is not good business practice. Healthcare isn't a joke. They need to take things seriously and be proactive.

Exactly what a doctors office should be from the receptionist (both 1 on 2nd floor & 1 on 3rd floor) Haley ty for getting the Nemluvia approved in 5 days! Ty Nurse Jessica for helping with injections and Most ty Dr. Bacik after 24 years of horrible judgemental doctor visits. FINALLY a proper diagnosis and hopeful a treatment that works. I'm incredibly grateful for the way you and your staff treated me at my appointments. 1st appointment diagnosis 2nd appointment treatment. No extra visits and extra copays. Very compassionate and empathetic. Their sincere regard for my feelings and validation where others have only been. judgemental even cruel.. I can't say enough how much that alone meant to me. To actually have a diagnosis and treatment started already after 24years of " we don't know" etc. Anyone who wants to have a true professional staff and doctor assist them with skin issues. PLEASE go here. I've been to them all. Including Mayo clinic. I was judged ,accused of self infliction, 100% not self inflicted, and treated with rudeness. Up until this visit I thought I'd never get an answer. Ty for the peace of mind that brings me. It's a beautiful gift. I will know in a few months if the treatments work but shots are painless & no side affects at all. Ty for being the doctor and team I needed for so many years!!!

Dr. Velez and her team at Pittsburgh Skin are exceptional. They’re kind, professional, and genuinely go out of their way to make patients feel comfortable — even during stressful treatments. The office has a calm, friendly atmosphere where you always feel well cared for. I had MOHS surgery on my face for melanoma, and the results are outstanding — only I can see the scar. Dr. Velez is meticulous, precise, and a true perfectionist. Whether it’s medical or aesthetic care, she’s thorough, easy to talk to, and always takes her time. I couldn’t recommend her and the entire team more highly.
