We stopped by NY weekend—Alan and his barista shared some insight into the Praxis brand as well as offerings, tastes, pairings. (Coffee nerd here) Also got to chat about different coffee scenes in S. Texas. Big vibes and very positive interaction. We left with a Mexican Veracruz bag! Fruity on the front and chocolate on the end. Much love from San Antonio y’all xxx

I have such mixed feelings about this truck. My first time I came, I ordered ahead of time and gave them an extra 10 minutes before I came to the window. When I walked up, the girl didn’t even see that I had ordered, so STARTED it when I showed up & said something. There was also no one else there when I showed up. As they made my drink, they continuously stopped to chat & goof off, taking even longer and ultimately making me late. I tried to give them another chance and grab some whole beans to take home today, and again the experience was just odd. Being busy doesn’t mean you can’t turn around for 2 seconds and welcome a customer letting them know they’ll be right with you. instead they have their back towards you until they choose to serve you. I got my beans, & the guy there had some great recommendations and I appreciated his knowledge on it, and my free drip coffee that came with the bag was really good. They handed me my coffee without a word, waited for my possible receipt, a goodbye or something? Instead, they immediately started chatting to their co worker, & then playing rock paper scissors while I just stood there awkwardly, not sure if he was gonna give me a receipt, give me any more info, or close out the convo. Ultimately, I can go to 50 other coffee shops and receive better service, while also not paying $24 for a bag.

Update: I was able to speak directly with the owner, who apologized and was very honest about the confusion with my order. I appreciated him taking the time to explain what happened. I still really enjoy their coffee and will continue to support the business. Better communication around processing times, especially for coffee bag orders, would make the experience much smoother. I placed an online order for a coffee bag exactly a week ago and chose the in-person pickup option for convenience. The app even allowed me to select a specific day and time. However, when I arrived, no one had any information about my order. There is no information on the website indicating that coffee bag orders require additional processing time, or that the pickup time selection doesn’t apply to coffee bags. As of today, I’m still trying to get in contact with someone to either cancel my order or at least get an update on its status. Overall, I do not recommend ordering coffee bags online from this business. If you really want one, buy it in person, or avoid ordering online altogether until they improve their system and communication.

Had a couple bad experiences due to a barista of theirs and Praxis quickly got back to me and terminated the employee who was consistently hurting their business. Awesome thing to see, and I am very grateful for their dedication to a welcoming environment. Can’t wait to return and get one of their craft coffees that I love so much. A company that listens is a company worth supporting. If anyone on y’all’s team sees this: truly thank you, you are so awesome and appreciated!

Phenomenal coffee run from good, down-to-earth folks who truly care about their craft. Owners Lauren and Seth were so warm and kind. Everything they make is done thoughtfully — even the milk they use pairs specifically well with the coffee! House made syrups, so you can have a sweeter “speciality” drink if you’d like, or venture into trying the more simple drinks, since the coffee is so high quality (locally roasted). I had a simple cappuccino that was fantastic. Recommend to go on a morning or when it’s a nice/breezy day, enjoy great coffee and the charming South Austin ambiance.
