Went in for a power steering leak on my Lexus ES 350. Rob and his team went over my vehicle and escorted me into their garage where they had lifted up my car to show me why I saw a puddle of fluid on my garage floor. They repaired my vehicle in a timely manner, highly recommend this team of highly skilled and experienced mechanics. Family atmosphere and very nice, honest people.
Perfect service. Volkswagen Jetta was loud before timing belt and water pump replacement due to possible misalignment over time/belt stretching. They gave me the service for half the price of OEM and it runs like new again. They even gave me suggestions to save money on a transmission repair in the future. I might see myself back again for complex repairs.
Went to get my car checked out after it was making some odd noises, ended up getting a quote for parts and labor of ~14k to fix it, which was still going to use very used parts with zero warranty. Took it to get a second opinion and was able to get the exact same work done WITH OEM, never used parts AND a warranty for 7.5k. Also, when I got my car back from them they had managed to mar significant portions of the leather and cloth in my interior with what looks like flat tip screwdrivers and pliers, and broke my shifter assembly, all while trying to claim that the car arrived like that. I had driven the car the day previous, I can confidently say the internals of my shifter were not sheared in half from someone torqueing the shift knob as hard as they could and ruining the leather on it when I was driving it. Going off of the metal tooth marks on the outside and the damage inside, It's extremely clear that someone couldn't figure out how to operate the shifter so they used a tool of some kind to try to tighten it to the point of where they sheared the plastic internals. After taking it to two other mechanics and letting them independently investigate it, they both came to the same conclusion without me ever saying the idea out loud. Take it how you will. To top it off, when I went to go pickup it up, I went to my car in their lot (without my key, they had it) and went to open the door to get some things out of my car (forgetting that I didn't have my key) and it turned out that my car had just been unlocked in their parking lot for who knows how long WITH the key still in the ignition, causing the battery to die... What was strange though is that the two individuals who I talked with at the shop were extremely nice, seemed well informed, and gave me updates about the vehicle as it was evaluated. They seemed like they were doing a genuinely decent job, short of the quotes that I was given (which may have come from a finance department, I'm unsure. They either came up with the quotes or just relayed them to me.) I don't know if the individuals who were working on my car were new employees, incompetent, or both, but after seeing how they treated my car and the absolutely insane quotes that they gave me, I'd sooner rather take it to the homeless guy that hangs out at the O'Reilly's around the corner for work on it than come here again.
My car's passenger side floor well was wet. I had been told it was most likely the heater core, around $2K. Unfortunately, the mechanic I typically take my car to had received a negative review in the prior weeks. I'm sure many of you have experienced that dreaded feeling. After looking at google reviews for an hour, decided to stop by Precision Automotive. I met Rob and after describing the issue, mentioned the heater core but then said it could be the drains. He invited me to have a cup of coffee, a seat there in the waiting room, and to keep an eye for dripping water after they lifted the car. Sure enough, water dripped. The technician removed the rubber caps that were causing condensate to accumulate and spill into the cabin. Rob, thank you for being honest. Even though you can't control what is going on with cars, the issue was simple to fix, and you didn't add any unnecessary repair costs. I appreciate the heads up on the valve cover and rear coupling. I'll be back for the regular maintenance on these and other items. To the readers, hope my review will help you see this business is top-notch. Thanks
The guys at Precision Automotive are top notch! Our Ford Econoline had a catastrophic wheel failure about an hour north of Bakersfield in the middle of the night. Had it towed into town and dropped off at Precision Automotive based off their reviews and AAA partnership. When they opened up they got the van in first thing and got to work. We quickly realized that the front spindle was going to need replaced, after a tough time sourcing one we worked together and I grabbed a used one from a junkyard. Once I dropped the part off gave them a couple of hours and the van was ready and back on the road! While these guys specialize in import vehicles they were top notch in fitting my van in, getting it fixed quickly and well, and all at a very reasonable price! While I don’t live in Bakersfield I will definitely add their info to my contacts incase I need work done again! Thanks again guys!
