I have only the highest compliments, sincere appreciation and affection for the staff and management of Precision Rehabilitation in Long Beach. They are top level, highly skilled professionals. I was paralyzed from the waist down following lower back surgery in August 2024. There was not one doctor who thought I would ever walk again. After four long months in the hospital and a nursing home, I received a month of home health physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) followed by traditional out-patient orthopedic physical therapy. My orthopedic PT was excellent, yet I was not the getting the desired results due to my severe nerve damage. He generously referred me to a specialist in neurological physical therapy, his neurological PT professor in the doctoral PT program at USC, Manjiri Dahdul, DPT, the co-owner of Precise Rehabilitation. I had no idea the specialty of neurological PT existed, and I am so grateful it does! Working with Manjiri, in the first 5 weeks at Precision Rehabilitation, my walking speed, although slow, increased 25%. My balance increased, my gait, strength, and every other measure improved. Since then, all measures have continued to improve steadily over the last nine months. Now, I do not have the smooth gait of someone who has never been paralyzed, but I can walk miles and I am thrilled with my progress! Precision has specially trained neurological physical therapists in processes that are superb. I am proof they can work if you put in the effort. In addition, they have many expensive specialized types of equipment that traditional orthopedic PT facilities do not have. If you have any type of neurological damage, I highly recommend them! Warmest regards, Karen
I've been going for 3 months now and have had a very positive experience. Beginning with walking in the front door and Taylor and Julia are the most friendly, welcoming and helpful team members. I was assigned to a student intern who was excellent and who received close supervision from a very experienced director. The facility is extremely conscientious about cleanliness. As an elderly person with chronic spinal issues I have had several physical therapies over the years. I must say this one has been one of my best so far. Thank you!
After suffering a heart attack, I began cardio PT. The physical therapist was a student. She listened to my goals. Her exercise programs were well chosen to help achieve my goals. My flexability and stamina increased after a month of twice a week visits. I have benefited greatly from attending cardio PT. Brittany was excellent to work with. She corrected my movements, encouraged me during the exercises and most of all supportive of my efforts with the execises. I felt I was progressing well with her help during my time with Precision Rehab. Their equipment is good and someone is cleaning the equipment after it is used. I felt safe and the exercises simple and effective. I would recommend Precision Rehab as they work with all needs of the patient.
Always made to feel my issues are import and helping me to improve my walking. As a retired teacher, I am impressed with the young people doing their “internship”. They are getting the best practices of being a physical therapist. I like seeing superb guidance in helping those starting out be the best.
I recently completed a course of physical therapy and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping me improve. From my very first appointment, I felt heard and understood—my therapist, Kim, took time to evaluate my condition, explain what was going on, and create a personalized treatment plan that felt both realistic and motivating. Each session was well-structured and focused. My therapist provided hands-on treatment, targeted exercises, and clear guidance on what to do at home.
