All 3 of my kids been been coming here for over 14 years. I called because I had a flat tire and was told to come in. I get there after driving for 40 minutes and was told I needed to reschedul . Which was irritating because that could’ve been been communicated over the phone . I go to leave and and the receptionist tell the family behind me that was 4.5 hrs early for they appt she could squeeze them in . Now I’m pissed because if u can squeeze them in you can also squeeze me in or u could’ve offered me the afternoon appt because clearly now it’s open .

I went to this doctor when i was A child and they have completely changed. They use to be a very good clinic. Now they schedule you for appointments, have you in the waiting room for hours , literally hours. Once you get to the back they still take hours to come see you. You have to wait days for a call back concerning medications and appointments. Just not anywhere i want to continue to take my children.

UAB's Pediatric Primary Care Clinic at Children's has done nothing but great things for our son. Anytime I have had to communicate with the staff about scheduling my son's appointments or any questions I have had, they have bent over backwards to help me. Izzy, the appointment scheduler, has always been extremely nice, pleasant, and caring and has always gone out of her way to help my son, even beyond appointments. My son got extremely sick when he was 10 months old, and his fever went up so high that we thought we would have to go to the ER. However, I left a message with a nurse, who immediatly called me back, and gave us all the advice we needed, assured us that our son would be fine if we followed her advice, and saved us from a lengthy (and costly) ER run. The residents at times have been a little off with their attitudes or advice, but we usually end up seeing Dr. Valentin. SHE IS AMAZING! We absolutely love her and our son loves her, which is the most important. She goes out of her way to interact with him and make sure he has "fun" appointment, which is something not even a lot of seasoned doctors go out of their way to do. We are going to miss her so, so much when her residency ends, The overseeing doctors have, at times, not made us happy with the advice they give and their attitudes are sometimes lacking, but we understand it is a learning hospital. Like any profession, there are going to be times you don't agree with the information you are given, so use what you can and what you are told to your advantage However, I would recommend this clinic to anyone! The staff, the doctors, and the nurses (especially the nurses..they are so, so nice), will go out of their way to take care of your child and family. Also, if you child is in Headstart, they are always up to date on the forms, etc. your child will need for Headstart and all you have to do is ask during your appointment.

I am so disappointed in changing my review but I am so annoyed with the service from this place now I visit on 10/19/2021, I called several times about a prescription for my son and it's still not done the pharmacy said they haven't heard back I still haven't heard back from the person who was suppose to also call me back about some forms I submitted 8 business day ago, when I was told it takes 3-5 business days to be ready. The service here so poor because for everything you have to leave a message and you sometimes don't get a call back that same day the service is horrible, I am taking my kids else where because these people in my opinion do not care. The doctor I dealt with on this day was awesome that's the only plus.
