Great bread. The conchas are my daughter’s favorite, especially when they have seasonal conchas to match the holiday theme. The yearly rosca from here is the best out of any rosca you will ever have.
We’ve known this bakery for many years, so we were honestly a bit disappointed this time around. Unfortunately, the sweet bread felt overrated. We hadn’t purchased from this location in years and stopped by on a Sunday about a month ago because my husband was craving sweet bread. Sadly, the bread tasted stale and bland, and my kids were noticeably disappointed. I’m not sure if the baker has changed, but the sazón that we remembered just wasn’t there anymore. Based on this experience, I don’t think we’ll be buying from here again. We’ll stick with another bakery as they’ve been consistently better for us.
Quickie Bakery is the kind of place that makes you believe in small joys again. The moment you walk in, the smell alone feels like a welcome—warm butter, toasted sugar, fresh bread—like someone hit “pause” on the day so you can breathe for a second. Everything I tried tasted genuinely made-with-care, not just “fresh.” The pastries are flaky without being greasy, sweet without being cloying, and somehow still light enough to convince you to grab “just one more.” Their baked goods have that perfect balance of comfort and craft: classic flavors done right, with little touches that make them feel special. The staff deserves a shoutout too—friendly, quick, and patient even when you’re standing there staring at the case like it’s an art exhibit. Service is smooth, the vibe is easygoing, and it’s the sort of spot you’ll start inventing errands for just to justify stopping by. If you’re after a treat that feels like a tiny celebration (or you need a reliable pick-me-up), Quickie Bakery absolutely delivers. I’ll be back—often, and without apology.
As someone who's been going to this bakery for many years, I used to rave about this place and recommended it to everyone. I stopped when I found tape in my cream cheese croissant. I ordered pan dulce for the entire office including 8 or 9 cream cheese croissants. One of them, as it turns out, had a piece of tape in the cream cheese filling. I was mortified but thankfully it was only mine that had tape in it. I called the bakery to address my concerns. The girl I spoke to was very dismissive. When I told her what happened, her response was "We don't have tape here so there's no way tape could've gotten in the croissant." She was basically calling me a liar. But I've purchased cakes at this establishment before and they do in fact use tape to seal the box they put the cakes in. I assured her that there was in fact tape in the croissant. She then asked me for my name, phone number, and to send her a picture for proof but I had already thrown the napkin with the piece of tape in it and I wasn't about to go fishing in the trash for it. When I told her this, she said she couldn't issue me a replacement croissant or a refund without proof, which is fine because I wasn't about to drive all the way back for a refund or a replacement anyway. So I told her that I just wanted to advice them of the situation because something terrible could've happened. And again, she tried to "reassure" me that they don't use tape and therefore she doesn't know how tape could've gotten in the croissant. She didn't apologize and I never got a call back regarding the matter. I should've asked for a refund for my entire order based on how rude she was to me, but I didn't. I've been working in customer service for a very long time and I know how people can be. It has made me a very patient and understanding person. It's just disappointing when an establishment you have admired for so many years is ruined (for me at least) because of poor customer service.
My wife and I had to order a cake last minute for our intimate gender reveal because our family decided to throw a surprise reveal of their own before the one we had planned for Easter weekend — since they didn’t love our original idea. When we called to order, the bakery let us know that with the Easter holiday, it wouldn’t be possible to make a small cake with gender-color filling on such short notice. The best they could offer was two boxed cupcakes with colored frosting, which we happily ordered for less than $4. But to our surprise, when it came time for the reveal, they went above and beyond — surprising us with the most adorable little cake! It was such a thoughtful gesture and really showed how much they care about their customers. And to top it all off, the cake tasted absolutely amazing!
