Rainbow grocery is by far the best health food store anywhere. They have the freshest nuts and seeds sold in bulk as well as a huge selection of bulk herbs and teas. Absolutely love this store.

Great place for people who value sustainability. Excellent vegan options. Come here to find your vegan chocolate. Plenty of organic juices not from concentrate, in glass bottles, and stuff of that nature. Literally a reason for me to come to SF. Organic peanuts, ground into fresh peanut butter, in a reusable container… yes!

Their bulk session is fantastic; just about any herb, tea, or grain you can think of they are likely to have it. Fresh produce area is good and with some surprising fresh from the forest mushrooms like beefsteak fungus.

The best of the best! I love Co-ops in general, but this store has it hands down. Each section has a great variety of products. Most are small businesses, good ingredients, and worth supporting. I love the store. Prices seem high, but really no higher than other places, and seniors get 10% off every day!

My ultimate favorite store!!! 🌈 Insanely huge bulk section where you can find so many vegan zero-waste groceries. They reward you for bringing in your own bulk containers, which is amazing since they have everything you can need in bulk (including household products!) I also love that they're vegetarian, worker owned, and fight for marginalized communities. Truly a magical place ✨🌈✨
